Chapter Thirty-Six

Emily's POV

My eyes fluttered open.

I watched my surroundings and a slight rush of confusion ran through me.

Where was I?

Oh, silly me.

I got up and realized I was in my room.

What time was it?

Well it seemed pretty bright out.

I read my clock.

3 pm?

I ran into my kitchen and saw Karen sitting at the table, reading a newspaper.

"Well you're finally awake? Sheesh, they outta fire those teachers at your school!"

I rubbed my head, "Why?"

"Well as soon as you got home from school you fell right asleep."

My eyes widen, "Is Bianca okay?! Did she get in trouble?"

"For...what?"

"For hitting me."

Karen stood up, "She hit you?"

"It-it must've been a dream."

Okay, so maybe Danny hadn't left me to be hit by a car.

But I still wasn't friends with Vinny or the boys.

I ran to my room and did what had to be done.
