Chapter Eight

Emily's POV

I quickly turned around and pretended I was busy.

Which I kind of was.

Justin and I were just guiding the 6th graders back to the auditorium.

Of course, the school would choose to play Happy Feet.

I turned around to see if Nick and Vinny were still coming towards us.

They weren't.

I breathed a sigh of relief and spun back around.

And they were right there.

"Hey, I'm Nick, and this is my friend Vinny." He pointed towards Vincent and he waved.

"I'm Emily."

"So, we saw you in the store the other day, and now we're in the same school, how awkward." Nick chuckled.

I laughed along and glanced toward Justin, who was chatting it up with Tammy.

No luck with him getting me out of this conversation anytime soon.

"Don't you guys have like, a performance to do?"

They both had confused looks.

"No," Vinny began, "We're just here for school."

He then struck me with is terrific smile.

I smiled back, with my awkward braces, "Yeah, haha right."

I trailed off my sentence and glanced again toward Justin and Tammy. Justin was waving for me to come over.

FINALLY.

"Look, I uh, gotta go. But it was nice meeting you guys."

Nick grabbed my wrist, "Wait, can I get your number?"

He handed me his phone and I punched in my number, smiled, then walked off.

A/N: I had to go out with my family shopping then out to eat so I didn't really have time for uploading and stuff. Sorry if this chapter isn't that good, I forgot to save Chapter Eight into my computer the other day, so I just kinda made this one off the top of my head, same with Nine.
