Chapter Thirty

A/N: I decided to post it today! I would've posted it sooner but I just got a new dresser and TV, ugh! So much work.

Okay, so the scandal doesn't necessarily happen in this chapter, but it's discovered in this one.

Nick's POV

"God, he's such an idiot." Mikey complained as Vinny walked away.

"Well him and Emily would still be friends if he didn't get in Danny's business." 

"Exactly."

Then, both of our gazes adjusted back to Vinny.

He was talking to someone, but I couldn't make out who they were.

But apparently Mikey could.

"Is that..Ryder?"

I tried to look closer, and it was indeed Ryder.

"Why is she talking to Vinny?" I asked still staring.

Then she whispered in his ear.

He looked at her weirdly, but didn't let go when she held his hand, and led him down the street.

"What?" Mikey plainly asked.

We both decided to run inside and look for Emily.

We saw her dancing on the dance floor with Danny.

When suddenly the head dance director stepped up to the mic.

Mikey's POV 

Mrs. Gale stepped up to mic.

"Hello, can I please get everyone's attention?"  

Everyone turned their heads to the front stage.

"At this time, we would like to announce the Homecoming King and Queen."

Someone handed her a card.

I whispered, "I already know I'm going to win, everyone said they would vote for me." 

Nick lightly chuckled and rolled his eyes, "I might too." He winked.

"Okay everyone, your Homecoming King is..."

She opened up the card, and looked stunned herself, "Justin Gimavolli."

Nick and I, and practically the whole gym gasped, "JUSTIN?!"

Tammy kissed Justin on the cheek and he headed up onto the stage and took the crown.

He placed it on his head as the Homecoming Queen was announced, "Emily Garrett!" 

Emily hugged Danny and headed up on stage to collect her crown.

The song switched to Cosmic Love by Florence and the Machine.

Justin and Emily headed to the dance floor, while everyone went on to their own business.

My phone vibrated in my pocket, a Facebook Notification from Vinny.

Why would he post something now, where was he?

I opened up my phone to read the status, and nearly dropped it.

Emily's POV

While up on stage to receive my crown, Justin whispered in my ear, "Don't you love hacking databases to sabotage the homecoming dance?"

I nearly cracked up laughing, as we headed to the dance floor.

We were about to dance when I saw someone outside through the back gym door.

"I'll be right back." He nodded.

I stepped outside, and saw Madison on his phone, while sitting against the wall.

"Mad!" I squealed, "You're here."

He looked up and chuckled, "I've been here Emily."

"Have you been outside the whole time?" I asked while sitting next to him.

"Yup."

"Why?"

"Well, I ended up arriving late, when I saw you and Vinny arguing, then he stormed off, and Mikey and Nick caught up to him, so I kinda wanted to let you guys settle that out. It was getting steamy in there, so I came out here."

"Oh."

"Yeah." He chuckled.

A couple minutes passed with us just sitting there.

"I won Homecoming Queen." I said.

He shot up, "Really? That's great! I would've thought Valerie would've won?"

"Justin hacked it."

He laughed, "Oh, typical Justin."

I nodded.

Suddenly, Nick and Mikey burst out.

"EMILY!" Nick yelled as he pulled me up.

"What?!"

Nick looked at Mikey, and he showed me his phone.

There was Vinny's Facebook status with a photo attached.

I covered my mouth and tried to hold back my tears.
