Chapter Twenty-Seven

Emily's POV

Tammy's mom dropped us off at the school and we walked in.

Music was blaring through the speakers, and everyone was dancing.

It seemed like everyone was having a good time, except Ryder, who was arguing with Travis.

"You're a fucking barbie."

"Isn't that good?"

He then stormed off, and Ryder was crying.

But why should I feel bad for her.

This was my night.

Justin walked up to us and asked if he could steal Tammy for a minute.

Then it was just me, Danny was nowhere in sight.

Then someone tapped me on the shoulder.

Thinking it was Danny, I whipped around, only to be greeted by the boys.

"Oh, hey."

"Gee!" Mikey said, "Didn't think you hated us!"

"No, I don't hate you guys, I just can't find Danny anywhere."

I looked around me and he was still nowhere to be found.

Vinny's POV

Emily then walked away and told us to have fun.

She was beautiful.

And I guess the boys thought the same thing, because they couldn't stop staring.

"You guys are going to be swallowing some flies if you don't close your mouths." I said.

Red flushed through their cheeks, and they said they were going to check out the songs the DJ had.

I walked away and just walked throughout the school.

When I saw Danny around the corner talking to a girl.

I hid behind the wall and listened to their conversation.

"Look, I'm about to leave okay? I just can't let Emily see me." 

The girl rolled her eyes and kissed him, then left.

Anger rose through me, and I walked up to him.

"Emily's gonna be pissed." I said sternly.

He looked shocked, then spit back, "Not if she doesn't find out."

"You're sick."

"What's going on here?" A too familiar voice said behind us.
