"How was work?" Amir asked me when I walked in the kitchen and took my shirt off. "It was work." I kissed her then grabbed Mini after I washed my hands. "Anything special happened?" She asked me and I thought about the "Fight." "No. Not really." I said. "What did you two do today?" I asked Mini. "Say we went to my Auntie Shon house since mommy didn't have to work today." Mir said. "Um. I believe I was talking to her. Not you." I told Mir. "Oh. Yeah. Let a 5 month old answer you." She said. "I was hoping. What's for dinner?" I asked watching her cook. "For you. Cereal." She said. "Haha." I said. "Pork chops, collard greens, macaroni n cheese, yams, white rice, and peach cobbler. Your favorite." She said. "Mhm. Sounds good." I said. "I know. It's almost ready." She said taking the macaroni out the oven. "I guess I'll go shower." I said and put Mini in her bouncer. "Ok. It'll be ready."
"Ok. So what's up?" I asked Mir when we were eating desert. "What?" She asked. "Come on. You have something on your mind. What is it?" I asked. "Nothing." She said. "It's something." I said. "No it's not. You want more?" She asked me picking up my plate. "No. I'm good." I said. "You should be. You ate up almost everything." She said. "Yeah. I know. Now back to what we were talking about." I said. "I said it's nothing." She said. "Ok." I said and took Mini out of her bouncer. "Where are you going?" She asked me. "Bathe her. Then put her to sleep." I said going to fix a bottle. "Ok."
"I see you got more desert." Mir said when I walked in the bedroom eating. "Ya." I said eating more. "I might be pregnant." She whispered and I almost choked. "What?" I manage to get out. "I might be pregnant." She repeated. "Yeah. That's what you said." I said and sat at the edge of the bed. "Mike. Say something." She said coming behind me, wrapping her arms around my neck. "We just had a baby. We're not even married yet. So you mean to tell me that when we get married, you're either going to be pregnant or been on had our second child." I said. "Ok. So if I am pregnant. What are we going to do?" She asked me. "I don't know." I sighed. "I'm sorry." She kissed my neck then laid down. "It's takes two to make a baby." I said laying next to her. "I know." She said. "Who knows? It can be a boy and look just like his daddy." I said rubbing her belly. "Are you saying that because she looks like me?" She asked. "Yup." I said. "We should start planning the wedding anyways. Don't you think it's time?" She asked me. "We can." I said. "Still want to elope?" She asked. "Yup." "Mm." She said. "What?" I asked. "Nothing. Go to sleep." She said and turned on her side.

Amir POV
"Just get to the chase. Am I pregnant or not?" I asked Dr. Lovett. "Well on that note, yes you are." She said. "How is it possible though? I just had her." I said looking down at Minnie. "It's possible." She said. "I see that now." I said. "Do you know what you're going to do?" She asked. "What you mean? I'm having this baby." I said. "Ok. I'm sorry. Just most people don't like this type of things." She said. "It's ok."
Home
"Hey baby. How was work?" I asked Mike. "It was ok. I was thinking about you all day though. You didn't call me after the appointment." He said pulling me into him by my waist. "I wanted to tell you to your face that I'm not not pregnant." I said. "So. Tomorrow's Sunday." I said. "Ok. And?" He asked. "How about we go to the court house?" I asked. "For?" He asked. "Well. I don't know. To get married." I said. "What? You're serious? What changed your mind?" He asked too fast and I laughed. "I was thinking and you were right. I'm pregnant with our second child and we're not even married yet." I said and he smiled. "But wait. What about your mom?" He asked. "Don't worry, We will tell her at dinner after we get married so that she won't stop us." I said. "Umm. Ok. So who's going?" He asked me. "My sister and brother-in-law. And your sister and brother-in-law." I said. "So they already know about this?" He asked. "Yeah." "So They knew for sure that you was pregnant before I did?" He asked. "What. No. They don't know why." I said. "Oh. So they just up and say they were going to be witnesses?" He yelled. "Yes. Why is that so hard to believe?" I asked. "Because I know my sister. She would keep asking until she knows." He said. "Well She don't. The only people who knows is you, me, and my doctor." I said. "Ok." He said heading to Minnie room. "They'll all know tomorrow at my parents' house for dinner." I walked after him. "What you doing in here? You need to be cooking for me." He said and I got mad. "You can make you own shit. There's leftovers in there anyways." I said and went to my room and slapped the door. And yes I mean my room and not our room. Mike had people to help him build our dream house. And part of my dream was to have my own room for times like these.
