“Ok. Who do we know that also knows Brian?” Amir said as we sat in the car. “I don’t know. You already know who my suspects are.” I told her. “But we already checked.” I cut her off. “That’s where we’re wrong. When didn’t go in depth we just searched. Who knows, they probably dropped her off somewhere and went home. Wait you remember when you went to Shelly’s?” I asked, she nod. “Yeah.” “Well, you didn’t check her house or car for an extra car seat. She was heading out somewhere. What if she was going to pick her up from Brian’s?” I questioned. “Well what are we still sitting her for? Drive to her place.”
We got there and it was no signs of anyone. “Its her.” I said angrily. “You can’t just jump to conclusions. I think it’s her too. But let’s just be sure.” She says. “It’s just that she’s never here or leaving when we come and find shit out.” I vented. “Baby calm down.” She rubbed my hand and that started to calm me a little. “It’s usually you have to keep me calm.” She giggled. "I know." I shook my head. "So what do we do now?" she asked. "Go by Brian's place." I said backing out the driveway.
"This some bull." I grouched when it was no one at his place. "Pookie, he probably still working." Amir said and I oh'd. "Can we go eat?" She whines. "You wanna eat or find our daughter?" I mumbled. I wasn't trying to say it in a bad way but she took it wrong and started crying. "I'm sorry that I'm pregnant, horny, and hungry." She says lowly wiping her tears. "Pooh. I was just kidding." I wiped her eyes. "Were you or are you just saying that?" She looked me in the eyes. "I was kidding. Now where do you want to go eat?" I asked.
“Pook look it’s your mom.” Mir said when we walked into Ale House. “I wonder if she’s expecting someone.” She says. “Table for two?” A waitress asked. “Hello. I’m right here.” Amir snapped in the girl face and I chuckled. “Can we get the table next to that one?” I pointed next to the table my mom sat at. “Sure.” She batted her eyes and I just shook my head. “If looks could kill.” I whispered in Mir’s ear to crack a smile on her face and wipe the mean mug off. “When we go over there act like we don’t see her.” I told her and she nod.
“Hey ma.” Mir hugged her. “Hey baby. How’s my grandson?” Didn’t we just go over this? “Kicking.” They laughed. “Well hi to you too.” “Hi ma.” I looked at Mir. “Sorry.” She smirked and sat at our table. “Who you waiting on?” I asked. “A friend.” She says. “A friend who’s a girl right?” I asked. “You’ll see.” She says.
As soon as a waiter came, Mir wasted no time ordering her drink and entrée. After giving the man our menus, he left and revealed this nigga sitting in front of my mom laughing and carrying on. “Like to introduce me to your friend.” I asked without a care in my voice. Mir hit my hand and I shrugged my shoulders. “Zay this is my son Michael. Mike this is my boyfriend Isiah. And you two know each other.” Ma pointed between Mir and him. “Hi Zay.” Mir waved and I looked there mute. “Your mom told me a lot about you.” He extended his hand and I just looked at it with a mug look.
“Michael.” My mom sighed. “I’m sorry but I can’t say the same.” I shrugged. “Pookie.” “What?” I asked drinking my Dr Pepper when the waiter came. “Stop being rude that’s what.” She says.
“It was nice seeing you again.” Mir hugged him. “You too. Better be careful with him.” He touched her stomach. “Ok that’s enough touching.” I hugged my mom and took hold of Mir, as soon as my hand touched her stomach, he started kicking. “Michael move.” She tried to push me. “Naw.” I began to kiss on her neck knowing that turns her on. “Pookie stop. We’re in public.” She tried to control her moan. “Ok. I think we should go. Amir make sure you call me.” He said and that stopped me. “Ok. Will do.” How do they know each other exactly?
“So how do you know him again?” I asked on our way home. “Well him name is Isiah and he’s my modeling agent.” She says. “Were you the one who introduced them?” I asked her and she didn’t say anything. “Were you?” “Not necessarily.” She says. “It’s a yes or no.” “Well they know each other ever since he became my agent; we met at ma house. I didn’t know they were together until today. But it was bound to happen.” “It was bound to happen but you ain’t inform me?” I asked. “Baby, she’s grown. She has grandkids for God’s sake. Let her move on from your father. I’m sorry to say this, but she’s been single for 10 years. She still living so she does have a life too.” “Whatever.” “Yeah you say whatever cause you know I’m right.” She giggled.
Amir POV
“I’m tired of all these damn notes.” I snatched the note from the door.
How cute.
You came by my house to see if I had your daughter, then you went to my boyfriend’s house. Like what the fuck. If you must know, I do not have your child. What do I need her for? I got my own child. Shaking my head. Dumb bitches these days. Well, see you in August.
Love you boo.
“YOU BITCH!!!!” I screamed out. “We going back to the police station?” He asked. “Hell to the fuck no. Them assholes ain’t doing shit to help nobody.” I can’t believe all those words came out my mouth. And I guess he was thinking the same thing. “Baby go inside.” He opened the door. “She has my baby.” I cried. “I know. And we’re going to get her back as soon as we get proof.” He says and I looked at him stupidly. “Proof? We got all the proof from all the damn notes. The fuck you mean.” All we need is a plan. “Pooh. Calm it down.” He says wiping his face. “I’m sorry. I’m just.” I paused. “Emotional.” He says chuckling. “Yeah.” I giggled. “And horny.” He whispered in my ear exploring my body. “Stop trying to have sex with me. We can fuck non-stop once we get Aminah back.” I told him and he back away. “That’s fine with me.” He says going to the kitchen. “Starting tomorrow.” He turned around and picked me up taking me upstairs.
