“What the hell?” Mike and I looked around. Baby monitor, gone. Extra bottles, gone. Bathroom set, gone. Diapers, wipes, everything you need for a baby just about was gone! I looked in the closet, all of Aminah’s clothes from 5 months up were gone. “Baby look at this.” Mike handed me a note that was in her crib.

Amir, Amir, Amir.

What can I say? Well I should start off by saying you are a stupid ass bitch trying to play mother and wife. I think it was hilarious when you thought it was you mother who took Aminah, but in reality it was me. I told you that you can’t always call someone your friend. Because it’s true. I called you a friend and what did you do? You took my man from me. You knew how much I liked Michael and you chased after him. So since you decided to hurt me, I decided to hurt you harder by taking your child.

Oh and that car crash…… Just know that was planned.

           Happy Birthday,

                           Your BFF :)

I read aloud and fell to the floor. “Baby please tell me you recognize this hand writing.” Mike sat next to me and I placed my head in his lap as tears ran down my face. “I’ve seen it before. I just can’t put a face to it. I’m such a horrible person.” I cried and he rubbed my stomach. “No Pooh you’re not.” He says. “I am. How could I let this happen? Our child is missing and the person who took her robbed us of all her things. It is my fault.” “Ssh. Baby stop it ok.” I looked at him to see tears running down his face. “Stop blaming yourself ok? If it was anyone’s fault it was mine and whoever is helping this person who have our child. Ok? I was the one that was ok at the hospital. I should’ve stayed with Aminah instead of making someone else responsible of her. I’m sorry for everything. I don’t deserve you. If you want to leave me I understand.” He whispered and I shook my head turning around so we can be face to face. “Pookie, where is this coming from? Who said I was thinking about leaving you? And what do you mean I don’t deserve you? You are the best thing that happened to me ok? I’m the one who don’t deserve you. You do everything in your power for me. You try to be there for me. But I wont let you and I’m sorry. I’m just independent and I’m changing. I promise. Just do me a favor and stop saying how you don’t deserve me. For right now let’s just be quiet.” I layed in his arms as he held me and eventually fell asleep.

“Good Morning Pooh.” Mike came and kissed my head. I guess he put us in bed after last night. “Morning. What time you have to be to work?” I asked. “12:30.” I looked at the alarm clock and it read 10:07. “Why are you up so early than?” I asked laying back down. “I was hoping you would join me in breakfast.” I look at him like he was crazy. “Come on. I know you hungry.” He chuckled and I got out of bed. “You know damn well I don’t get up during the summer until 12 o’clock.” I mumbled stomping my way to the bathroom.

I sat at the table and began thinking. Why didn’t the alarm go off? The person who has her must know the password to unlock it. “Pooh.” I heard Mike and snapped out of my thoughts. “Hm?” “Do you want to tell him what you want?” He says and I opened my menu. I didn’t know what to get considering this is my first time here but he tells me their food is amazing and he comes here if neither of us cooks. “oo.” I saw something that caught my eye and I heard Mike chuckle. “I told you she likes to eat.” He told our waiter and I shot an evil look. “I would have the reeses and snickers pancake meal.” I can just taste it, my lips watered as I rubbed my stomach. “Scratch the reeses.” Mike said and I gave him the look only for him to give it back. I seen the waiter look between the two of us. I sighed and finally gave out. “I wanted peanut butter.” I pouted. “Well you can’t have it so no.” He says. “For my sides can I get double hash browns, 2 eggs country-style, links of sausage, and how many strips of bacon is it?” I questioned receiving a damn look from Mike. “Well there different amount for different prices we have 5, 7, and 10.” “I’ll take the 7 with an apple juice.” I said and he wrote everything down. “The usual?” He asked Mike and he nod and we gave him our menu. “Ok I will be back with your drinks.” Mike thanked him and I went back to thinking.

“What you thinking bout?” “Don’t worry.” “Awe you mad at me? Why because you wanted what you couldn’t have?” he teased and I rolled my eyes. “Leave me alone.” “And you better eat all that food since you wanna eat like I ain’t just feed you last night.” He says with a smirk. “Can you just shut up?” I snapped. “Whoa. Baby I was just playing.” He grabbed my hand from across the table and I took it away and look out the window hearing him sigh. “I have to use the restroom.” I moved out the booth to go find the bathroom.

I got back to see that our drinks were already here. As I sat our food came. I looked down at my plate and formed a smile. “You that happy about a reeses pancake?” He asks and I laughed. “Thank you baby.” I leaned over the table to give him a kiss. “You’re welcome. You going to the doctors and seeing why you craving things you’re allergic to. And I promised you Mir if you start breaking out.” I cut him off. “I’ll be fine.” After that I was quiet and going in on my food. He was right. They food is good.

“So which one of them liked me?” Mike asked and I looked up from my plate. The nerve of him. Get me out of bed early and stop me from eating. “Well all of them did. Back in college, we knew of each other, we just wasn’t friends. We went to a couple of study groups together. That day you came up to me, everyone in one of the study groups earlier that day was saying how fine you were. It’s not my fault you came up to me when I was alone.” I shrugged and went back to eating.

“So is that why they don’t like me? Because they had some type of crush on me and I chose you?” He asked. “I honestly don’t know or care.” I ate a strip of bacon and felt him staring at me. “What?” I asked after eating that strip. “Can I ask you a question? I don’t want to trigger nothing to make you start crying.” He says. “Go ahead.” I said unsure. “The first time you got pregnant and had a miscarriage, were any of them there for you to have a shoulder when I wasn’t there or even texted or called you?” He questioned. “You were always there. You never left my side.” I laughed remembering how he wouldn’t even let me sleep alone. “Just answer me.” He says and I thought about it and shook my head. “No.” I replied. “So why did you think that years later, they were going to all of a sudden care about you just because y’all work together?” He asked. “So what you calling me stupid?” I asked. “No. No.” He tried to defend but it was too late. He saw that I was on the edge of tears. “You basically just lowkey called me stupid..” “I wasn’t calling.” I rose my hand cutting him off and resumed eating.
