Amir POV
"Dada." I smiled looking at Mike interacting with Minah. "Ready to go?" I asked and he looked at me with a ridiculously huge smile plastered on his face. "We were waiting on you to come downstairs." He says as I took Aminah from him and he grabbed her bag. "Ma." Minah touched my chin as I kissed over her face.
It's been a month since I had Mason. We are actually on our way to the hospital. The doctors said last night that they wanted to keep him for one more night to make sure everything's good for him to come home. I wanted to stay in that hospital until he was able to leave with me so bad, but I had to accept the fact that God's on my side.
I have my husband, my babies, and now Shelly, Brian, and Jas are locked up. Nieya and I still talk but I just don't trust her fully. Now Maya and I, I feel as if she and I hang out and talk more than she and Mike does. It's funny how he says he doesn't appreciate the fact but whatever.
The temporary color I put in my hair is fully out. I didn't get it dyed permanently because I didn't know how it'll turn out. I want to get it dyed again, but not permanently or anytime soon. Maybe I'll start doing it once a year around my birthday.
"Hey mommy's baby." I cooed as I held Mason in my arms. "Everything's set?" Michael asked the doctor. "Yes sir. Bye little Mason, it was nice having you here." She says. "Thanks for everything." Mike held Aminah across his chest with his left arm and he shook her hand. "You're welcome. You guys are quite a family." I smiled and she smiled at me.
Leaving the hospital, we went to Momma Wallace house, where she was throwing and welcome party for Minah and Mason. "Come on in." Ma says opening the door. Inside was filled with family and Maya.
*
"Girl you look like you're going to burst." Maya and I laughed as I rubbed her 7 month-old stomach. The party's been going on for about 6 hours. Out of those 6, I would not, not have a child of mine out of my hands until now. Michael just took Mason from me to change his diaper and one of my sisters have Aminah. "I know and I can't wait. I hope our family is as beautiful as yours." She says. "Awe." I wiped a pretend tear before hugging her. "Shut up." She laughed.
2 years later
Michael POV
"Mason, no stop. Don't do that!" I walked in the house from work hearing something break. I went to where Amir's voice was coming from which was the hallway of our home.
"Baby what happened?" I asked hearing her cry. I sat next to her as she sat on the wooden floor looking at the mess. "I can't believe he did that." She cried as I pulled her into my chest. On the floor was a vase her grandmother gave her. "I can find someone to fix it." I promised kissing her head. "Fix what Michael? All of these pieces? It can't be no where close to being possible." She cries. "Just trust me Pooh."
"I don't understand why he's so bad and hardheaded. Minah's in her 'terrible two's' but yet acts like an angel." This was true. "I don't either. Come on, let's get this picked up."
Amir POV
"Yes, he broke the vase. Like pushed it off the table with more force than a two year old should have." I told Maya. "By the time I reached him, it was shattered against the floor." She shook her head. "If Jamaya was to break anything, I will tear that a- butt up." We laughed. "I don't want to hit my children. But I still want then to be a little afraid of me." I said looking at Aminah who was playing in the sand in front of me. "I with Maya. Especially if it was something like your grandma's vase. I know how much you loved it." Sky says. "Yeah I do." I sighed.
"I bet if Samor broke something in our house that belonged to y'all grandma, Amor would definitely be in that." I laughed at Sabi knowing it's the truth. "But my brother and I are two different people." "Oh we know." They said in unison which caused us to share a laugh.
I walked away from the girls to spend Mother-Daughter time with my baby. I held her hands as she kicked in the beach water on the shoreline.
*
"Sorry bout the vase." Mike says. We laid on the couch in the living room with him laying on top of me. "Yeah me too." I sighed. "What you and the girls do today?" He asked. "The beach. Nothing much. What about y'all." "You don't want to know." He chuckled. "What you had my baby doing?" I questioned. "Nothing babe I promise you." He kissed my lips then got up. "I gotta surprise for you." "What?" "Get up and I'll show you." He pulled at my arms. "Fine fine. I'm up now what." I followed his lead. Soon we were in the hallway. "There you go." He stepped aside and revealed my Grandmother's vase. It look the same as before.
"Is this the original vase?" I felt tears going down my face. "Mhmm. I told you I could get it fixed. Good as new right?" "Yes. Thank you baby, it means a lot." I hugged him. "You're welcome and I already know. Now that you see it, where you want to move it so Mason or Minah can't reach?" He questions. "The entertainment center is kinda tall. Well I can't even get anything from on top of it." He laughed. "Cause you short." "Shut up." I pushed at chest. "Ok I'm sorry. I love you Pooh." He kissed me. "Sure you do." I say before kissing back.
