An Unexpected Destination

I arrived at a huge forest a couple of minutes before the others. There was no official trail and the map had literally just told me to go straight into the treeline. It looked like we were going to have to take a hopefully small hiking trip through it to get to our final destination. 

I parked at the edge of the treeline and stooped down to relace my boots a bit tighter. I had just grabbed the first shoes I saw and those turned out to my trusty old Lowa's. The others soon arrived and Nogla parked in the ditch.

"Good thing I wore my hiking boots by accident!" I said, pointing to the treeline. "Are y'all ready to hike?"

 Mini groaned. "Your lucky, I wore fucking sandals, again!" We all chuckled and Wildcat sighed.

 "Your fucking pitiful, Mini," and then proceeded to pick him up. We laughed while Mini screeched. "TYLER!!" 

"I'm not putting you down," he said stubbornly. Craig sighed, and rested his head on Tyler's shoulder, and rolled his eyes. It looked quite comical.

We all started the trekking though the huge, dense forest. After what felt like forever even though my phone only said an hour had passed, I noticed the trees were getting thinner. "Hey, I think I see something!" I shouted to the guys who behind me. "Finally!" Wildcat shouted back. When I made it to the thing I saw I was very surprised to see what it was. "Well then," I breathed. 

An abandoned military base!

The others had similar reactions. "I was not expecting this!" Delirious declared. Nogla agreed before Lui said, "I think I recognise this place!" And we all turned to him and stared at him like he had 3 heads. "How the hell do you recognise this?! This is your fourth time being to Canada!" I said (A/N I have no clue how many times Lui has been to Canada so I just picked the number 4) "My Uncle was a military pilot, and he sent me a postcard of this exact place!" "Jesus Christ, that is a very odd coincidence!" Mini said (we all agreed).

"Well, let's explore!" I declared. We went towards the front door and surprisingly they were unlocked! 

"Odd," I mumbled. 

We went through locker rooms, a cafeteria, two meeting room, a couple offices, barracks, an indoor shooting range and a few bathrooms. Not one sign that anyone had been there for years. "This kinda gives me the creeps....." Del mumbled. I secretly shared this opinion. Why was this placed abandoned? Why did no one know of it's existence? Like Lui had mentioned before, there were people stationed here. It was an operating base. What happened?

 I shook my head and we made it to the outdoor hangar.

Okay, I said I was surprised before, but holy fuck. 

"HOLY SHIT! THERE ARE FUCKING TANKS IN HERE!" Wildcat shouted. "That means the people that were here left in a hurry!" Lui realised. We all ran over to one of the tanks, "It's real alright." I said as I placed my hand on the cool titanium. Why were all these things still here? 

"I have an idea!" Delirious breathed.

"Oh god," I turned towards him, but he was already climbing up the side of the tank.

"You are fucking insane Delirious!" Mini declared.

"YO! It's unlocked!" He popped open the door. "DELIRIOUS, NO!" Wildcat cried.

He disappeared inside the tank.

 "DELIRIOUS, YOU'RE GOING TO BLOW SOMETHING UP IN THAT THING!" I shouted. "It's still working!" Delirious shouted back, ignoring my statement. "Fuck it, I gotta stop him," I exclaimed.  I climbed into the surprisingly spacious tank. "Hi, Evan!" Delirious giggled. Oh god, he was in one of those 'Act before thought' moods he sometimes gets into when he's really excited. I normally find it cute but he could literally kill us all right now.
