dan was walking home absentmindedly when he turned the corner and bumped into grayson.

he rolled his eyes when grayson said something but he didn't hear it, he took out one of his headphones "what?"

"i said i wanted to talk to you" grayson repeated himself "you have potential howell"

"what do you mean potential exactly?" dan asked

"you can run fast, you think fast, you're skinny so you can fit into tight spaces and you're not afraid to fight back" grayson began slowly circling dan

"what are you getting to?" dan replied. he heard of things that grayson gets up, not especially good things either.

grayson sighed "we just lost someone in our little...shall we say group? he couldn't keep up with us, kept getting us caught so we need someone new"

"grayson don't take this the wrong way but i'd rather not" dan said

"why not? you could earn money, lots a money dan and you'd be accepted" grayson explained "it's your choice though, it'd be a pity if you said no" and he walked off

dan sighed rubbing his hand over his face careful not to smudge his eyeliner before taking his phone out and saw he got a text from someone.

dan smiled at his phone screen forgetting about grayson and typing back a reply.
