unfortunately the week had come to an end. it was time for dan to go back to berkshire.

"why do you have to live so fucking far away?" phil whispered into dan's chest "why do you have to leave me?"

"hey" dan soothed him by slowly rubbing his back "i'm not leaving you, i'm just going back home where i started"

"can i fit in you bag?" phil asked hopefully making dan giggle

"nice try but i don't think that'll work bub" he replied

the two headed downstairs with glum faces.

"don't be sad boys, i'm sure you'll see each other very soon" fiona tried to comfort them

dan squeezed phil's hand softly "you're definitely coming to mine next"

the entire way towards the train station, phil and dan didn't let go of each other's hands. phil's uncle, aunt and brother came with them to comfort phil when dan boarded the train.

once they reached the station dan shakily turned to phil's aunt and uncle "thank you for letting me stay"

"it's quite alright darling, hope you have a safe journey back" fiona hugged dan tightly

next was martyn "it was nice to meet you dude" dan bro-hugged him

"same to you"

finally it came to the hardest part, saying goodbye to phil. the boy stared at dan with big watery eyes.

dan brought him tightly to his chest "please don't cry because if you do then i will"

"c-can i have a moment alone with dan please?" phil asked, his voice cracking

fiona nodded and led the others away

"i'll miss you" phil squeaked "so very much"

"i'll miss you too bub" dan brought lips to phil's gently. the kiss was a little salty due their slight tears

"please don't forget about me"

"i wouldn't be able to even if i tried, i'll skype you tonight yeah?"

phil nodded wiping his eyes with the ends of his sweater.

with a final hug goodbye, dan passed through the gates leaving phil standing by himself feeling alone.
