A/N: Hai initiates, I'm back with another update c: I decided to just post the two chapters about the party on the same day (tuesday) because it doesn't make sense to prolong it haha xD. I'm sorry if the party sucked because I've never been to a party before and I just kind of winged it, and imagine what a party in Dauntless would be like lol. Sorry for switching POV's so much, it's just I wanted both chapters to come from different perspectives. Also, since this is going to be published on New Year's, Happy New Years! :] I hope that all of you have a wonderful day/year. I'm watching Divergent right now and I honestly can admit that I've seen the movie probably around 50 times.
Last One Standing - Simple Plan
Disclaimer: I do not own Divergent, the wonderful Veronica Roth does.
Faith POV
After Ethan hanged up the phone, we searched the compound for weapons. After minutes of searching for a storage room, we finally found one. Mackenzie ran around the corner and halted. She cautiously stepped back and she turned around and faced us, eyes wide.
"What? Why are we stopping?" Tate whispered infuriated.
"There's groups of people from Erudite standing at the end of the hall, and two guards standing in front of the storage room. If we open the storage room they'll see us you dummy." She said, smacking Tate's chest.
Tate pinched her back and Mackenzie raised her fist. I grabbed her arm and quickly pulled her back. "GUYS, this is the time to start a fight, okay? Save your energy." I whispered hastily.
"We need to come up with a plan. I say that Colton and I run around the corner first, knock them out and open the storage door. After we say that the coast is clear, Mackenzie and Faith can help us get the weapons. Tate and Emily can stand outside and tell us if anyone is coming." Ethan declared.
I nodded in agreement. "Sounds like a good plan." I said.
"Ready?" Ethan asked Colton.
Colton nodded, warily and ran around the corner with Ethan. I hear grunts and heads being banged against the wall. As I heard the door opened, Colton yelled "Come on." Mackenzie and I nodded and ran around the corner. I saw two guards lying on the ground with blood on the side of their faces. I picked up one of their guns and quickly backup up into the storage room. Mackenzie followed, and I saw Ethan and Colton searching for weapons. Wow, I thought. The amount of weapons could supply a whole army. I stood there in shock and looked around the storage room. I saw stacks of guns, rifles, knives, and even swords. All of a sudden, someone hit me on the back of my head and I turned around to see Mackenzie staring at me with a scowl on her face.
"This isn't the time to just stand around and do nothing Faith!" She exclaimed throwing a gun towards me.
I caught it in my hand just in time and put it under my arm. I quickly shuffled over towards the knives and stuck two in my heels. I heard the door to the storage room swing open and jerked my head towards the sound. I sighed, relieved; when I saw Tris, Four, Christina, and everyone else walk into the storage room. I also saw a boy and a girl with them that I didn't know, they both looked similar as if they could be twins.
"Well that was quick." Ethan simply said, although he looked relieved as he saw everyone walk into the storage room, including Tate and Emily.
"We weren't that far away from the Dauntless compound, besides this is an emergency. Tate summed up what happened to us, where is everyone else?" Tris asked while quickly getting weapons.
"They're in the Pit. They all fainted from the smoke bomb." I said.
"Is all of Dauntless under the simulation?" Christina frantically asked.
"We know as much as you do." Mackenzie solemnly responded.
After everyone grabbed a weapon, we all walked out of the storage room. As soon as I walked out, I heard gunshots and screams. I turned my head and saw bullets fly towards us. I ducked, and the bullet went past me. I quickly turned around to see the bullet attack Tate. Ethan and Colton caught him as he collapse onto the floor. Tears sprung into my eyes as I saw blood gush out of Tate's body. I stood there in shock, while Mackenzie and Colton hastily crouched down beside Tate and held his hand. The sound of Mackenzie's and Colton's sobs felt like someone stabbed me in the front.
"Tate!" Colton hoarsely yelled, as he cried into Tate's shoulder.
"Colt, it's okay, I'm happy now." Tate simply responded.
"What do you mean you're happy now? You're dying Tate." Mackenzie exclaimed and raised her hand to hit him, but slowly put it down, realizing his state.
"Did you know, that, the first, thing on my top, ten things to do, before I die, was to admit my feelings to you?" Tate asked Colton, taking deep breaths between each word. It's only a matter of time before he dies.
Colton's sobs became desperate and ragged, when Tate's face turned a yellowy color. I felt an arm around my shoulder and I saw Ethan give me a sympathetic look. Neither of us knew Tate well enough to feel a deep remorse, but I still felt a sharp pain in my chest.
"I love you Tate. I always have and I always will. Your life was taken from you too early, and I hope-" Colton started, but stopped; as he felt Tate's hand become frigid.
A/N: This was a hard chapter to write and I'm not sure why. Maybe it's because I'm somehow in a writer's block or the fact that I just killed Tate off :c. The next chapter will be in either Tris or Tobias's POV, leave me a review telling me which one you prefer, and don't forget to vote for my poll on my profile! Fave, and follow as always.
QOTC: What do you expect to happen next?

FanfictionThis story is about the characters in Divergent after the war happened. Tris's parents, Susan, Caleb, and some of Abnegation are dead. Dauntless had nothing to do with the war, therefore Will is alive, but Al isn't. Lots of fluff, drama, and action...
