Chapter 24- Brother?

A/N: Guys I'm honestly really sorry for not updating and I'm sure you guys are tired of me saying that.... lol but I really am. To stay on schedule, I decided to write the remaining chapters of this story and then start posting them because:

It makes sense (lol)

I won't have to rush the chapters and they'll be posted at the same time

I'm pretty sure you guys would like that too haha xD

Anyways, there will be 7 more chapters left of this story after this one, and you're probably wondering, only seven? Yes hah, because the ending will make sense once you guys read it. Also, I really need you guys to give me feedback on what I should do after I finish this story, so can you please vote/review?

Brother?

The word sunk in my mind as a thousand questions interrupted my mind. "What do you mean by brother?" I asked matter-of-factly.

"Well you see, it's when people share the same parents, or one for our case." Jake stated slyly.

I immediately jumped out of the bed and I ran towards Jake. I strangled him with my right hand and I watched as his face began to lose color.

"Stop being a wiseguy and tell me how we're related." I yelled towards Sydney and Jake.

"Okay relax Tobias, and let go of him! He as asthma. We'll explain to you once you've calmed down." Sydney said, eye wide with fear, as Jake began to turn blue.

I breathed in and out as I slowly let go of Jake. He gasped for air and fell back onto the bed. I looked at Sydney as I saw her pat Jake's back and mumble words to him. He nodded and tried to regain his breathing by taking deep breaths. I awkwardly stared at my siblings and I suddenly felt regret. I could've accidentally killed my brother before getting to know him.

After a few moments, Jake spoke in a hoarse voice.

"We're eighteen, so we're only two years younger than you. Our mom, Evelyn cheated on your father with another guy. We don't even know who our biological father is so we can't help you with that. The only thing that I do know is that your father was abusive and that's why she left," he stated in a serious tone.

"We grew up in the factionless and were raised by a couple of mom's friends. Mom told us that we had an older brother but she told us that we couldn't meet you because you hated us," Sydney finished.

"What? How could I hate you if I didn't even know that you existed," I said angrily.

"Are you saying that she lied to us?" Sydney asked.

"I gave her a look saying 'yes'. The one thing that I learned over the years about our mother is that she's good at keeping secrets." I chuckled humorlessly.

"Well we always figured that she was right because that's the only thing that we knew." Sydney said truthfully.

I nodded my head in understandment and I visibly saw both of them relaxed. I smirked as I looked around the room, curious as to where the hell am I?

"You're in the guest bedroom of our apartment." Jake answered for me, smirking at my facial expression.

I nodded as I looked around. The room looked somewhat rundown with old appliances and old-fashioned furniture. "How far are we from the camping grounds?" I asked curiously.

"Thank gosh it's not far. I could barely carry half of your weight onto the train and into the apartment." Sydney joked.

I chuckled and I got up out of the bed. Tris. I looked outside and I saw that the sun was slowly rising. If I left now, then everyone will most likely still be asleep, unaware that I was technically kidnapped by my brother and sister.

"I think I should head back, I don't want anyone to get worried." I stated.

"It's okay we get it. We'll come with you just in case they're up and they start to ask questions." Sydney offered.

I nodded and I walked towards the door to head back to Tris.
