Chapter 25- Don't Be A Pansycake

Tobias POV

I stood outside of the cabin and I hesitated knocking on the door. I looked behind me at my siblings and they simultaneously raised their eyebrows and gave me a look that said 'Don't be a pansycake.'

I took a deep breath and softly knocked on the door, seeing as though it was around 7am. As soon as I knocked on the door, Uriah opened the door harshly and stared blankly at me. I looked past him and noticed that everyone was awake and I noticed that Tris was giving me a deadly stare as she crossed her arms.

"Look, I know what this looks like but you have to believe me when I tell you that I was kidnapped." I protested at everyone.

"Oh and I'm assuming you want us to believe that the two people behind you are your 'kidnappers' and they decided to bring you back here to make sure you were safe too?" Christina sarcastically said.

I heard Jake laugh and I turned towards him, shutting him up with a glare.

"Look, if you let us come in then we'll explain." Sydney said.

I look at Uriah as he sighed and opened the door, motioning us to come in. I walked into the cabin in towards Tris. She stared at me with hurt and sadness in her eyes for a moment and then she tackled me with a hug.

"Tobias, I thought you were murdered." she hastily whispered into my ear.

I placed my hand on her back and started to rub comforting circles. I knew that saying anything that might piss her off was not the option right now.

Tris let go and looked towards Sydney and Jake. She raised an eyebrow at at them, noticing that they looked very similar to me. I walked back over towards them and I gave them a look saying 'let me explain', and they both nodded. I turned back around and they all simultaneously looked at me expectantly.

"I don't really know how to explain this, but-" I started looking down on the ground.

"What our brother is trying to say is that we're related." Jake stated with a triumph smirk.

Everyone gasped as Jake said the word brother. I looked up at their reactions and I almost laughed because their eyes looked like they were going to fall out of their sockets.

"But"

"How"

"I thought your mom was dead!"

"I'm not surprised"

The last comment was from Peter, and everyone stopped and look towards him.

"What do you mean you're not surprised." Lauren asked.

"I don't know, I just always thought that something seemed fishy with Evelyn's death." Peter said dismissively.

"I'm not sure whether or not I should be flattered that you predicted my mom faked her death, or that your brain actually works." I retorted.

"Neither." Jake said, eying Peter with suspicion.

I looked towards Peter as he protested.

"Peter, don't start anything right now, this is supposed to be fun." Lauren cut him off before he had the chance to say anything.

"How are we supposed to trust them, how do we not know that this isn't just another scheme from the factionless." Peter voiced.

"How do we know that we're supposed to trust you?" Will asked.

"We literally just met them-" Peter started.

He stopped as he heard the ringtone from Christina's phone. We all turned and looked at Christina as she held up a finger and answered the phone. I watched as her expression suddenly changed from bored to annoyed.

"What are you trying to say Ethan? Spit it out already!" she exclaimed, impatient.

I watched as Christina's eyes widened and her expression changed to horror. She immediately hung up the phone and started to grab her purse and she ran towards the cabin's door.

"Wait Christ, where are you going? What's wrong?" Tris yelled, rushing over to Christina.

"I don't have time to explain, but we need to leave now before the whole Dauntless compound is destroyed." Christina stated in finality.

A/N: So I decided instead of including the initiate's party in this chapter, I will write a separate one because there's a lot that happens and this chapter will probably be 3k long haha. But I promise this time that you'll know next Saturday :]
