6. - Tears

Jade's pov.

I threw my bag over my shoulder and walked towards the campus park. I spotted two benches back to back. I sat on the left one because someone else was on the right one. I plopped down and hugged my bag tightly.

I have no where to go. The only place I could go is Blake's but he's mad at me. And i really should keep my distance from him.

One thing that sucks about distancing yourself from people is in times like these you have no one. I'm just trying to make my daddy proud. He died 3 and 1/2 years ago of leukemia. I held his hand when he took his last breath, and listened to his last words.

'Baby girl, listen to me. Don't let anyone distract you from your dream. Be everything you were supposed to be on this earth. Have fun but not too much fun.' He laughed his last laugh. 'I love you Jade, don't ever forget that.' And then his heart monitor held a long beep as  I sobbed against his chest. The doctor had to pull me away from him kicking and screaming.

I wiped the tears from my eyes. 'Jade?'

I turned to see deep blue eyes staring at me with noting but worry. 'Blake..' I breath out. 'Can I stay at your dorm tonight?'

He visibly hesitates.

'You know what its fine I will go somewhere else, no big deal.' I say standing up and grabbing my bag and turning to walk away.

'Jade stop.'

'No, I'm not going somewhere I'm not wanted. That's why I left my own dorm.' I hear him following me so i speed up.

'Jade you're always wanted when it comes to me. Now stop walking and lets go to my dorm.'

I stop and turn slowly. 'Are you sure?'

He nods and pulls me into a hug.

'Why are you hugging me?'

'Because it looks like you need it.'

'Mhm, i do.' I hum against his chest and pull him tighter. I love the feeling when I'm in his arms, i feel safe and something else? Loved?

He pulls away but keeps me tucked against his side as he leads me to his dorm.

Once we make it inside I go to his bedroom and throw my bag on the floor. 'Where are your roommates?'

'It's just Tyler. He's staying at his girlfriends dorm.'

I nod and avoid his eyes.

'Are you hungry?'

I nod eagerly and he laughs. He pulls his IPhone out of his pocket and dials a number.

'Yes can I have a large extra cheese pizza with ham and a large order of bacon cheese fries.'
He looks at me and smiles at my huge smile.

'Okay thank you.' He says and hangs up the phone.

'You remembered?' I say more to myself then Blake but he still answers.

'Of course, that was the best weekend ever.' He smiles a panty dropping smile.

Two summers ago Blake came to visit Gordan at our parents house for the weekend and Gordan and Blake were arguing about if they should get chinese or italian. But i came home early from work and brought a large extra cheese pizza with ham and a large order of bacon cheese fries. I said that i brought my favorite meal home. And we had a blast that weekend.
