Five years later.
'Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you. Happy Birthday dear Marcus, Happy Birthday to you!' We all sang as my son who looked all grown up smiled. He blew out his ten candles on the football themed cake and everyone clapped.
'Mom, I want the corner piece!' Marcus said.
Jade laughed, 'Just like your father.'
'Well there's a good thing there's four corners isn't there?' I chuckled and ruffled his blonde curls, 'Or we might've had to fight over it!'
Marcus chuckled, 'I could take you any day dad.'
A unison of "ou's" surrounded us with a couple, "burn's" thrown in.
'Damn he got you good, Blake.' Gordon spoke up while his arm rested around his very pregnant wife.
'Daddy?' I felt a tug at the bottom of my shorts. Lizzie, our daughter who is now four and a half, smiled up at me. 'I want the center piece.'
'Why babygirl?' I asked as I scooped her up in my arms.
She played with her dirty blonde ringlets that dangled around her heart shaped face. 'Because I don't wanna fight you daddy.'
I laughed along with everyone else. 'No one's going to fight Lizzie.' She smiled and jumped from my arms to her Gammy's. 'It seems I've been replaced.'
Jade came over to me and placed a chaste kiss on my lips. 'Never baby.'
'Hmm,' I hummed and kissed her again. 'I love you.'
She bit her lip, 'I love you more.'
'Enough of that you two, Casey and Caroline are awake.' Gordon said while pulling me form him sister.
Jade sighed, 'I guess hoping they would sleep through the party was wishful thinking.'
I kissed her forehead after struggling to get out of Gordon's grip. I surveyed her swollen eyes and the bags underneath them. The twins kept us up every night. 'I'll get them sweetheart.'
She grinned, 'Thank you Blake.'
I ran up the stairs of our Carolina home and down the hall to the room that held my baby girls. I immediately recognized their cries, 'Its okay girls. Daddy's here.'
I picked up Casey first, since she was crying louder, and checked her diaper. She definitely needed changed. After changing hers and then picking them both up, I carried them down the stairs.
Casey was two minutes older than Caroline but wasn't much bigger. They were premature babies but the doctor says they're staying on track with their eight month old weight requirements.
Once I walked back out to the living room Gordon and his wife took the girls from me quickly.
'Really mom?' I heard Marcus asked excitedly.
I saw Jade nod before she looked up and saw me. 'Now it's time to tell your dad.'
I cocked my head and looked around at all the knowing looks on the faces of our friends and family. 'Tell me what?'
'We may need to move baby.' Jade said as she sauntered over to me sporting a pale green sundress that showed off that ass she still rocked.
Her words confused me, 'What? Why? We designed this house together.'
After Lizzie was born we moved from my three bedroom house to a four bedroom three bath. Jade and I picked every single inch of furniture down to the doorstops.
'Well maybe we can add on then.' She smiled excitedly.
'Why? I thought you liked it?' I asked feeling hurt that she wouldn't tell me if she liked our house or not.
She shook her head and cupped my face. 'You're misunderstanding me baby. I love our house. I just think we may need some more room.'
'Why? We have our room, Marcus has his, Lizzie has hers and the twins can share for now.'
Jade laughs and so does some people around us.
'Oh my gosh, dad!' Marcus blurts, 'Mom's pregnant!'
My jaw unhinges. 'Again?'
She nods, tears welling in her eyes.
I pick her up and twirl her around cheering in delight. 'Damn my sperm is good.' I whispered so only she could hear.
She chuckles and slaps my chest. 'There's one more thing.'
'Oh god.' I mumble.
She turns to everyone, while clinching onto my hand. 'I'm having two boys and a girl.'
I fall to my knees. 'Triplets?'
She nods, 'I can't believe it either baby.'
I hug her waist and kiss her stomach. 'Thank you, thank you, thank you.'
'So how about that add on?'
I nod and stand up kissing her passionately. 'We're gonna need a lot more room. That's seven kids Jade.'
She nods. 'I know it is Blake, I'm the one who gives birth to them.'
I laugh and hug her tight. 'Then I will build you whatever you want baby.'
'Thank you Mr. Rivers.'
I smirk and kiss her again. 'Anything for my girl, Mrs. Rivers.'
