About three A.M. I wake up with my stomach growling. I guess I actually am hungry.
I slide on a pair of sweatpants over my boxers and walk down the stairs to the kitchen. I head over to the fridge looking for leftovers.
I spot a container with a sticky note on it.
I know you'll get hungry, so I saved you some.
Love, JadeA small traitorous smile makes it's way onto my face as I run my thumb over the word love written in Jade's perfect hand writing.
I take a deep breath and slip the container into the microwave. I grab a beer from the fridge and pop open the top.
'Thank you Jade.' I murmur as the Italian smell refills my senses.
'You're welcome.' Her voice sounds behind me making me jump and drop my beer. The glass shatters around my feet, thankfully not cutting them. 'Oh my god!' She runs over but I jump over the glass and stop her from coming any closer to the glass by putting my hands on her waist.
'You're going to cut yourself.' I breath out and look down at her.
'Sorry..' Her voice comes out small. 'I wasn't thinking.'
I smile a little, 'You never do.'
She bites her lip and places her hands on my chest. I suck in a sharp breath when her soft hands touch my bare skin.
'I've missed you so much Blake.' She whispers running her fingers down my abs.
'Jade..' I warn.
'I know, I disgust you now.' She balls her hands up and step backwards. 'I just came to get some water. But I'll just go.' She looks at me with sad eyes before turning to leave.
'Wait..' I call.
She stops and looks at me.
'We can talk if you want.' I mutter pulling the food from the microwave.
She bites back a smile as she nods, 'Okay. I'll clean this up first.' She motions towards the glass.
I shake my head, 'No, I'll get it.'
She sits at the bar with a huff and watches me intently as I clean the mess.
'You've gotten bigger.' She mutters.
I chuckle, 'What?'
She blushes slightly, 'Not fat, like more muscular.'
I look down at myself and shrug.
'Humble as always.' She whispers.
I just smile and walk to her.
'Do you want to go outside?'
I glance out the back doors and then back to her, 'Sure.'
She leads the way outside, my eyes follow the familiar sway of her hips.
Jade sits down on the side of the pool, sticking her bare feet into the water. I follow her and emerge my legs into the lukewarm pool.
