Blake's pov.
I hung up the phone as soon as I saw her. She brought the phone away from her ear and she stopped walking. And that's when I saw the truck speed around the corner. 'Jade!' I screamed.
Her head snapped to me and We connected eyes for a second before the truck struck her. The front of the truck hit her in the hip area and sent her flying over the hood smashing the windshield in the process. She hit the top of the truck one last time before landing on the concrete behind the truck. I stood there in shock. Everything in my body was telling me to run to her but I couldn't. I physically couldn't move. I heard someone yelling and crying. People were rushing to her when I heard someone tell another person to call 911. I finally found the strength to move and pushed through the crowd and I dropped to my knees beside her bloody body. A man was giving her mouth to mouth and doing chest compressions.
'Jade baby, wake up.' I whispered caressing her cheek softly. I heard the sirens wailing from down the street. I backed up when the EMT's got her on the stretcher and gave resumed chest compressions. 'Can I go with her?'
'Are you family?' The blonde EMT asks me.
'No but-'
'Then no- I'm sorry.' The man doing the chest compressions stops and checks her pulse.
'I can't find anything boss.' He says to the blonde EMT.
And thats when I realized I was the one yelling and crying.

I watched them wheel her into the hospital on the stretcher. I watched them hook wires and machines to her. I watched them push me from the room saying something about I'm not family. I saw her brother run past me and into the room. I watched myself watch this from outside of my body. I wasn't in control of my actions; there was so much pain that I was numb. I pressed my hands against the glass above her room. Tears were falling, but now my cheeks were wet but my eyes were dry. Jade's brown hair fell loosely on the operating table. Her eyes swollen and shut. Her chest unmoving as the solid line beeped across the medical screen. A tall doctor on her right brought two shiny plates out with handles and shocked her chest. The doctor yelled clear and shocked her again but nothing changed. With one more shock her chest arched off the table and her eyes opened wide.
On instinct I screamed for her and slammed my fists on the glass.
'Jade!'
She looked up at me and blinked a few times before whispering, 'Blake..' She gasped for air and her blue eyes rolled back into her head.
And then she flatlined.
I started screaming and punching the glass.
'Jade! No!'
'Jade! Come back!'
Someone came up behind me and dragged me by my arms away from the window.
'Blake!' A voice I recognized as Gordans yelled at me as he threw me in a chair.
I barried my head in my hands. 'I can't lose her.. Oh my God. I can't- I can't live without her. I need her Gordan, she's my everything. She- I love her.'
'I know Blake.' I snap my head up at his calm voice.
'Why are you happy? I don't understand- Jade just-ju-.'
'Yes she flatlined again but they shocked her one last time and her heart started beating. But you were too busy acting like a child.'
I stared at him for awhile as I tried comprehending everything that just happend.
'So she's okay?''Yes she's stable. But she's in a coma, Blake. That's common.. But if she doesn't wake up today or tomorrow. Her internal conditions can get worse.'
I nod unable to form words.
'Do you want to see her? She can hear you but she can't respond in anyway.'
I nod again and I follow him to Jade's room. We enter and I see they cleaned Jade up and she is laying motionless on her white bed with her hands on either side of her. I walk up beside her and grab her hand.
'Hi Jade, it's Blake.' I hear Gordan walk out and shut the door but I don't look away from Jade. 'I could've lost you today, hell, I did there for a second. And I realized I can't live without you baby. You make me smile and laugh more than anyone can. You believe in me when no one else did. I know you can hear me so I'm going to tell you all about how I fell in love with you. And how I will always love you know matter what happends.' I stop and breathe deeply. 'I love you So Much Jade. You're so beautiful and sexy. You're smart and determined. You fight for what you want. And you are passionate about sports, I mean whats not to love. I love your attitude and your smart remarks. I love your sarcasm and the way you only cry during movies. I love the way you feel in my arms and the way you opened up to me. I love that your still alive and that you failed at your attempt to end your life. I love how strong you are to overcome that and make something of yourself. I love how much you love your brother. I love how you respect your fathers wishes even though they keep you from being mine completely. But i know for sure that I am completely and irrevocably in love with you.'
I stare at her unmoving body in awe. And i feel the damper of today on my shoulders.
'I'm sorry this happened to you. It's all my fault.' I kiss her hand before letting go and walking to the chair beside her bed.
I lean my head back and finally fall asleep listening to the beautiful sound of her heart beat through the monitor.
