McDonald's

We all piled into the van and I turned the key. The last door shut as the van roared to life. Literally, it sounds like a dying lion... Or ostrich, I can't decide. I grab my phone out of my back pocket and hand it to Korbin, who is sitting in the passenger seat. He plugs it in and puts music on. He puts on "Only" and I turn it up. It's the only thing we can hear, we couldn't even hear each other "singing" to the song.

After singing along with three other songs, we were parked at McDonald's. I'm not going to deal with another drive through. I mean, the order for ice cream was huge. Just think about McDonald's, at three a.m. It would take forever to get our food. I mean, I'm sure if nobody is there, they'd just shut stuff down and talk to each other. So, we'd have to wait for all the machines and stoves and whatever to turn on. Then we'd have to wait for our food. Only thing is, we'd be in a car. So I decided, we're going in. Like it or not.

I'm still wearing leggings, I seriously look like a hobo. Well, probably not, but still. Nobody has changed, or even showered. I'm so showering when we get back to the house. Oh my god, that bathroom is amazing! It'll probably be the best thing in the world to me. At least at the moment.

"We're not going to take forever, I want a goddamn shower!" I say as I get out of the van.

Korbin walked over and handed me my phone. I forgot about it, since he was in charge of the music. I turned it on and it said "2:59 am". I can't believe this is what my Friday night looks like. Really, you never know what to expect with this group. We're here and there, were fucking everywhere, and no one knows. We ninjas... Well, at least Colt is. Especially when he's stoned. Which, surprisingly enough, he isn't right now.

We walk through the doors and head to the counter. We all order our food and go sit down while we wait for the food. After about five minutes of random talk, we hear our order called. James goes to get it with Colt. I'm sitting with Korbin to my left, and Chloe to my right. In front on me, is  where Emmy is sitting with Christina. Colt sets the tray of our food on our table, and walks away with James, to their table. After this many years, you'd think McDonald's would make bigger tables, but, you can't fix stupid.

I told them we weren't going to take forever, and I think they got it. Or they were starved. Either way, it worked in my favor, because about ten minutes later, we were sitting in the car. I handed my phone back to Korbin and he plugged in the aux again. I love how every car I'm in, just happens to have an aux chord. I kind of think Colt put this one in the van, just because he knew I was driving. If I'm in the car, I usually pick the music. Whether I'm in the front or the back doesn't matter, I still pick what plays.

I'm not picky with most music, but there's still some I won't listen to. To me, music is like food. I will eat almost anything, but there are those few foods, I just refuse to eat. I turned the van on and put it in reverse. The song "Drops of Jupiter" by train, came on. I turned it up, but not as loud as the rap usually is. We all sang along to it. Another song came one and then another. The last song to play, was "Habits" and we turned it up. It was on the verge of deafening. None of us cared.

We were all yelling along with the song as I drove into the garage. I parked the van and we got out. I took my sweet ass time walking to the porch. Korbin had my phone again, he walked over and handed it to me. I think he noticed I was about to fall or something. He put his arm around my waist and smiled at me. I gave him a tired smile back and he helped me up the steps.

Chloe waited for me at the door. Korbin and I walked through the door and I gave him a hug. I was tired, my head still hurt, and I was kind of dizzy still. Korbin looked confused, whether he should let me go or not. He gave Chloe a look, and she came over and took his place. She helped me up the stairs and down the hall. We walked into my room and she had the same look on her face, that I imagine I had.
