I can barely see anything through the smoke. I'm stoned, and apparently everyone else is getting there too. The song Turn Down for What is blaring over the surround sound speakers. The bathrooms are all taken up, and some have lines outside them. The entire house smells like beer. then it hits me, I'm fucking amazing at beer pong.
"Daniii!" I yell across the kitchen.
She turns her head and smiles at me. She's holding a red solo cup in her hand. She holds a finger up to the guy she's talking to, telling him to wait a minute. She walks over and stands in front of me. I grab her cup and drink the rest of the Patron mixed with Mountain Dew. She laughs at me and I hand her the cup back with a smile. She's a real lightweight, she's got a buzz at the moment. It's only eleven thirty.
"Help me move the shit off the table Dan. We're gonna kick some ass at beer pong!" I yell.
Dani turns around and stands on a chair, gathering everyone's attention.
"Beer pong bitches!" She yells over Habits, by Tove Lo.
Everyone starts screaming and yelling. There's a lot of fist pumping and gathering of "teams". Dani and I move the food and alcohol off the island counter. I leave and let Dani finish clearing the crap away. I walk through the ridiculously crowded dining room and start looking for Chloe.
"Chloe?" I scream over the crowd.
I don't see her or hear anything back, so I decide the table looks like a good place to search for her. I move one of the chairs and hop onto the table. I stand up and look over everyone and yell for her again.
"Chloe!"
"Oh my god! Bush!" Chloe stumbles over.
"Is your drunken ass up for beer pong?" I can't help but laugh.
"Hells yeah, Sky-Walker!" She yells.
She holds her hand out and I grab it while I hop off the table. There are a ton of empty and half drank solo cups sitting on the table. The song "Not on Drugs" comes on as we walk to the kitchen. Dani has everything set up, she's pouring the last cup of beer when Chloe and I stop by her. This will be our little team. I'm not sure where anybody else is right now. Korbin walks into the kitchen and throws his arms up.
"Beer pong! Where's Alice, I'm in that bitches team!" He yells looking at me.
He runs over and embraces me in a drunken hug. We laugh and Dani starts playing. I'm not sure where the hell she got the ping pong ball, but I guess it doesn't matter. She bounces the ball into the first cup and everyone cheers. We high five and hug each other. She goes again and does the same thing. The cheering happens and then I go.
I bounce the ping pong ball into a cup and then do it again. Everyone watching cheers and I high five Chloe, like a boss. I walk away to get a drink while Chloe goes. I go to the fridge and grab a beer. Someone brought fancy shit, imported from Germany.
"Grab me one!" Dani yells.
"Same!" Chloe hollers.
"I'm getting vodka!" Korbin yells.
We all laugh at Korbin. I grab three of the fancy beers from the fridge and walk over to Dani and Chloe. Korbin is by the counter making a drink. I hand Dani and Chloe their beers. I pop the cap off mine, I use the counter and hit it. They do the same.
Someone in the corner is singing and attempting to make smoke rings. I can't tell who it is at first, then I see the hair. It's Claire, she's smoking a joint and singing along to Colors, by Crossfade. I smile and yell at her.
