The Fight

When I fell asleep on Luke's shoulder I wasn't hungry, but when I woke up I felt like I hadn't eaten for days. I was about to stand up and head to the kitchen when shit started to go down. Colt and James were at it again; arguing over a white, groupie bitch like normal. Colt seemed really done at this point, and from the looks of it they've been at it for a while. The entire house seemed eerily quiet. We all knew what was happening; they fight a lot but I don't think out of all the years I've known them that I've ever seen them act like this.

James fucked up. Colt is talking about the party. I think James screwed someone-- I know he screwed someone, but I think he might've screwed someone worth taking a second look at. Colt liked her, and Colt doesn't like too many girls.

"What the hell is your problem you ugly kid?" Colt seemed to be joking, but not for too long.

"I was thinking she's hot as hell, plus she was drunk so she went with it." James was laughing; Colt wasn't laughing.

"You jackass! She's a person not just a fucktoy. She's worth more than that, and more than you!"

At this, James looked hurt. I didn't feel bad at this point; I was starting to figure it all out. James was starting to get to the point where he wasn't even him anymore. I noticed, Colt noticed, we all noticed. He wasn't our dumbass best friend anymore, he was just a dumbass junkie.

"Get the fuck out." Colt didn't raise his voice; He didn't do anything irrational, he just told him to leave.

James started laughing, but he was the only one. Colt was serious, and I was staring at James wondering if he'd get the point. He went from smiling to nothing; his face was blank and he looked like he wasn't there.

"You know what? I fucking will, but you're the only one who wants me to. Right guys?" James looked at everyone who was here.

"Right!" Chloe chimed in. She stood up and walked over to him.

"True." It was all Claire said and she walked over there too.

"Then get the hell out, all of you. I run this shit." Colt was serious, no yelling or freaking out; just a flat monotone voice.

They slowly walked over to the door; everyone but Luke, my sister, and I.  Anne would be here soon, I just got the text from my mother telling me she was on her way over; by then this should all be over, and everyone will be gone.

James opened the front door and everyone walked out. James left the door open and turned around. He did't say anything, and I didn't blame him; he didn't have to say anything because we all knew what he was thinking. He was sorry poor guy, but I don't know if I feel bad.
