I'm not sure how long we were kissing, but it was good. I didn't really expect him to be such a good kisser, no offense to him. I just never saw him with girls ever, he was always with Colt. I wanted to fall asleep again, but I wasn't really that tired.
"We should go and see what everyone else is doing." I say with a grin.
"You sure that's what you wanna do?" James asks with a smirk.
"I'm not sure, maybe you should help me make up my mind." I say with a smile.
James leans in and kisses me again. I feel like he's the first guy I can trust in a long time. He leans back and just looks at me. I haven't really seen him smile like this, since last weekend when he was stoned out of his mind. It was hilarious, even though he almost drown in the pond. I smile and give him one more quick kiss before I reach over to grab the remote. I shut off the T.V. When I get ready to stand up, James grabs my wrist and pulls me back to him.
We start to kiss, again. In my opinion, the best kind of kiss, is the one that you have to stop kissing because you cant help but smile. That's exactly what happened too. He was smiling when I opened my eyes again.
"We need to go downstairs before everybody thinks were fucking." I laugh when I say it out loud.
"We could be." He has a devilish smirk on his face.
He pins me to the bed and we start to kiss again. He gets off of me and stands up. He holds his hand out for me to grab, I grab his hand and he helps me up. We're still holding hands when we walk over to the door and open it. He lets me go when I start to walk down the steps. I will never get over how damn soft my stairs are.
When I get t the bottom of the stairs, I just stand there and watch all my friends sitting around the living room. Family Guy is still on. I can't help but smile at them. They've all done so much for me, I don't think they'll ever understand that. No matter how many times I try to explain it.
Annie sees me and runs to the stairs. She puts her front paws on the step and looks like she's smiling. i lean down and pick her up. She's my favorite dog, we've had a lot of dogs too. I walk into the living room with Annie in my arms and James close behind.
"You're both alive." Christina says.
"Is she good?" Colt asks, being funny.
James runs over to Colt and they start to wrestle. Obviously, Colt knew about him liking me. Doesn't surprise me, they tell each other everything. James was winning, but then Colt pinned him down. Everyone was cheering for one or the other. I love when they do this, it's really entertaining.
"Anyone wanna go to the screening room?" I ask.
"Totally!" Chloe says.
"Why not." Christina responds
"I'm -ow! In." Colt says.
We all start to laugh and James falls over he's laughing so hard.
"Dan, you wanna make some popcorn with me? While these idiots find Mortal Instruments, since it was almost over earlier."
"Sure, come on sis." She says as she stands up.
We walk into the kitchen and you can hear everyone walking through the house, to get to the screen room. I open the cabinet and grab five bags of popcorn. I throw them on the island and look through all the bowls we have, I grab the biggest one I can find. Then I realize how much popcorn there is, and I grab another bowl, exactly like the first one. Dani is putting the second bag of popcorn in the microwave, and I grab the one she just pulled out.
I open the bag and grab some popcorn. I throw it in my mouth and dump the rest into the bowl. I can probably put about two and a half bags into each bowl. The microwave beeps after about a minute and Dani hands me the bag. She puts the third bag into the microwave and puts on the timer. I dump the bag into the bowl and sit on a stool. I get lost in my thoughts a lot. I do it again, right now.
I start thinking about my dad. Josh Walker, he's a deadbeat.
"What are you thinking about?" Dani asks.
"Dad..." I the only thing I say.
"Why?"
"I'm not sure, he just popped into my head."
"He hasn't texted you has he?"
"No, not for two years." I say. "You?"
"No, and I'm glad. You know how many times we've tried to help him. He's beyond helping, you know that."
"I know, it just popped in my head. I don't know why, I wasn't even upset. just thinking!" I walk over to her and give her a hug and a kiss on the cheek, for reassurance.
The microwave goes off and Dani pulls out the third bag. She hands it to me again, and again, I put it into the bowl. I put half into the first bowl and half into the second bowl. I grab the filled bowl and head to the screening room. I open the door and walk in. The lights are off and the screen is on pause. The screen says Mortal Instruments and has green whispy things on it. I love this movie and so does Dani.
I hand the bowl of popcorn to Christina, who is sitting by Chloe and Korbin. They start to munch on that and i walk over to James. I sit by him and cuddle up to him. We talk about random things and end up on the business. Dani walks in with the second bowl of popcorn and sits down by Colt. He still seems kind of high, I'm guessing he took another hit when we were upstairs.
Chloe presses play and we all sit and watch the movie. I grab my phone and send mom a text.
Me: the squad is here, were all in the screening room
Mom: that's fine, they staying?
Me: is liam coming home?
Mom: i don't think so.
"You guys wanna stay?" I ask.
"Yeah, if we can." Chloe says.
Me: then yeah, theyre staying
Mom: ight, see you when i get home. i working the late shift tonight, so ill be later
Me: cool, see you then
We watch the movie and not even half way through, I fall asleep in James's arms.
