Caught Up (SERIES PT. 3)

I promised Jay that I was going to be cool about everything. Honestly I dont have anything to get rowdy about. He should be telling that to Monica but im just going to continue to do what I was doing and be myself. We got back in the car to go to Monica's house after Jay literally tried to sauce me up in the hotel room. He think he's so slick but until all of this gets resolved like Des said he aint getting nothing from me. What he has to understand is that he has to learn how to put his foot down sometimes, family or not. Because one thing you shouldn't allow is for someone to talk down on who you are with even when the intentions are good. Cut it from the beginning before things go too far. I had that conversation with Jay and I told him I wont be talked down on, I wont be in this if im being looked at side ways, and I most definitely wont be around if there are secrets. I may be here for all the right reasons but I wont stick around for those reasons. As of right now I guess you can say me and Jay has an understanding and I trust him enough to get right, to use his head when needed. Be my backbone and not no whimp who cant speak his mind to his family if they are wrong. If he can do that we would be perfectly fine. We got back to Monica's condo and went up the elevator. I took deep breaths on the way up and Jay just held my hand. The elevator doors opened and once again everyone welcomed us. 

"We thought yall was never going to show up". Uncle Kwane said to us.

"Oh no we couldn't do that. If we say were going to be somewhere then we there no doubt".

"Tell me why I like her so much?". Me and Jay laughed at him and went and sat down. Monica and two girls walked downstairs and in a sense I wasn't ready to find out who they were. 

"Jay! About time you got here. You know how I feel when you dont show up to family functions".

"Well im here now so hush. I gotta introduce you to someone real quick. Diamond, Kasey, this is my girl Alana".

"Ou brother she is cute! Who did ya makeup? You someone famous or something? You look famous". Kasey asked me and I just had to laugh because she was actually funny but sweet at the same time. I was feeling myself a little bit by that compliment but as always I had to remain cool .

"No no, but thank you. Im actually a fashion designer". Both of their eyes widened and im just like what did I just get myself into.

"Girl you know you lying. Im in school for fashion, think you can put me on with some tips or something?". Diamond was into fashion? I think we can hang. Her and Kasey were so down to earth and hilarious. Guess this wasnt bad after all.

"Yeah thats no problem, just show me what your working on". Diamond slightly was jumping up and down and I can tell this was something that she wanted to do. I like people who are driven and into their work. What they wasnt to pursue in. So I didnt mind at all. I seen Monica looking at me talk to her sisters and for them to be so cool with me probably rubbed her the wrong way because she still had the same look from earlier. But the vibes im getting from Kasey and Diamond is out weighing all of that. Maybe sometime tonight I will speak to Monica to see how it goes but as of right now I just want to enjoy this moment. Ms. Jackie was in the kitchen with Monica and me, Diamond, and Kasey went in there too. I spoke to Ms. Jackie and then said hi to Monica. She gave me a slight smile and Kasey nudged her as in why she was acting that way. Well cant say I didnt speak, I honestly didnt come in here for her anyways actually came in to talk to Ms. Jackie.

"What are we eating?". 

"Ok so if you dont know already we are a Caribbean family so we have arroz con pollo, deviled crab rolls, shrimp casserole, and pan cubano".
