Chapter 4: Claire is What?!

~~ Lianne's POV ~~

Claire has been unconscious for like a day. We brought her to the academy's mini hospital, the clinic. But I call it mini hospital cause it wasn't large that it almost looks like a hospital! It occupies the space of the academy at the east side, near the mini forest that surrounds the whole academy and also our dorm is also near to the forest.

We were all worried and the sky outside starts to rain. We were all wondering why it rain but it's not even rain season. It should be sunny this month. We didn't go to class today because we didn't have class this afternoon. All students don't go to school every afternoon because we don't have any class, but we can practice there at the battle arena.

"Claire, I hope you wake up," I said to the unconscious Claire. She was fine now but she was still sleeping. Dr. Wayne said that she used too much energy and magic power but he is surprised that her book didn't have any break or damage or something.

Knock knock

Someone knocked at the door.

"Come in!" I said and straight my position at the chair.

"How's Claire?" Kenth enters the room and takes the seat across me, at the left side of Claire.

"She's fine, by now and also the information about her was really shocking. Do you even believe what he said about her was true?" He didn't respond and look at Claire. I remember what they said earlier said.

••• Flashback •••

"This can't be true," Dr. Wayne said. What does he mean, it wasn't true.

"What's wrong, Dr.?" I ask him. He looks at me worriedly. Then he stares at Claire. He sighs and said,

"She has Sharlene's soul. And also hers and the past queen's power match. Which means..." he stops and waits for us to catch up because of his fast talking.

"Which means?" Ayumi asks and starts biting her nails at her fingers.

"Which means she's a relative to the queen. Maybe a cousin or niece or..."

"She's the lost princess!" Kenth finishes his sentence and our eyes all widened.

"But is it true or not?" James sits the chair and looks at Claire. Claire was still unconscious but the something is happening at her brain. She starts mumbling words then crying.

"What's happening to Claire?" I step closer to the bed and put a hand on her forehead. "Ouch! It's too hot! It's hotter than a fever!"

"It's not a fever." A deep voice said from behind. I look at the door and saw my worst nightmare.

"Prince of the Underworld. What are you doing here?" James hissed.

"I don't bring harm. It's my father's doing and I against it now," he said. So he's a good guy now. Whew! I'm finally relieved. But don't trust too much to him. He might be like his father, but I don't hear any bad things that he does, except for skipping classes when he's still a little kid. But now he grew handsome but one thing that I don't like to him is his hair is in a ponytail! He's the only boy I saw in my entire life in a ponytail, A BOY IN A PONYTAIL! Anyway back to the reality.

"So what is it?" Ayumi said from his brother's back. She might be scared.

"She can't control her powers inside her. Even her book can't handle it so some of it was pass to her. And also I can detect another soul inside her. Well maybe that's why her body and book was in much trouble in keeping all the powers," he explains. Woah! I didn't know his also smarty pants. But how did he know all that? "How I know that you ask? Well, it's because I have a blood of a reaper and I can tract souls easily, that why?"

Is he reading my mind! Maybe it's was easy to read from our faces. He teleports from the door to the side of the bed where Claire is. He sits there and put his hand on her forehead. His black and blue colored book appears from nowhere and it circles the two of them while it's flipping its pages. Then it stops and he looks to it. He whispers the magic then he smiles and said, "You will be okay tomorrow." Then he disappears.

••• End of Flashback •••

Sigh. I hope that wasn't true but also my other side telling me she hopes what he told us was true. But also he said tomorrow he will wake up. And that's the good news!

"Anyway, tomorrow or maybe today she will wake up, right?" I said to lighten up the mood. He smiles and replies.

"Yes and I'm looking forward to it. But I have to go now. And visiting hours almost end now, so I have to go. See tomorrow." He stands up and leaves the room. After a minute, I also leave the room. I forgot that we have an assignment and teacher might get mad to me for not doing it and also one of the duties of a Special Class is to do their assignments so I run to our room and do my assignment.

~~ Reader's POV ~~

As Lianne exited the room, the black haired boy earlier comes out of his hiding. He steps closer to the bed and sits to one of the chairs there.

"I hope my magic work and also it's the magic that will help her, right?" he whispers and a soul began to speak to him.

"Don't worry, she will be okay. And also I'm happy that I found someone that can to. I can only talk to my daughter here but only when she needs help. But when I do it, I cannot control my powers and it's going to her. It's giving her fever and nightmares," the woman said. So she is the mother but who is she?

"But why do you pick me. I'm the son of the king of the Otherworld, and also my father is a bad person, or should I say the worst of them all." The boy takes his ponytail and starts to brush it.

"Here let me help you," the soul become a woman. She has dark green hair and red eyes. She walks near him and a comb magically appears at her hands. She starts brushing it and also tells him why. "That's because I believe you have a pure heart and also you are the grandchild of the good reaper, and also I believe that if I trusted my daughter to you she will be safe," she said in a calm voice. She finishes his ponytail and gave him a mirror. "So do you like it?"

"Thanks," he said and his eyelids start to fall. He yawned but he keeps fighting the urge to sleep.

"I have to go now. I use enough magic to free some of Claire's and my magic. See ya!" she smiles and become a soul again and float inside Claire's body.

The boy looks at the empty space tiredly. But a minute pass he also fell asleep.
