Dan and Phil cuddled on the couch as they watched Deathnote, their hands held tightly.
Dan was slowly showing Phil a lot of anime, because he knew that Phil would love them as much as he did. He also used it as a way to stall from realizing the fact that when school starts up again, they'll be at different colleges and it will be hard to see each other ever.
As the episode came to an end, Phil stretched and tried to get up but Dan pulled him back down, "Can I..talk to you about something?"
"Yeah sure Dan." Phil replied, scared, "Is something wrong?"
Dan avoided any attempted eye contract "No, I think we both saw this coming, but I got into a university, one separate from yours."
"Oh." He said dryly, "which university?"
"University of Manchester" Dan explained, "it's a great college, and I'm sure we'll still be in contact somehow."
"Yeah, except that I don't have a phone and given all the stuff I need to pay for to stay in college how could I ever afford to get one?" Phil pointed out.
The truth hit both of them harder than they could've expected. This couldn't be the end though, could it?
"Well, then, we'll enjoy our company while it lasts." Dan requested, "and who knows, maybe we can find way to succeed in a long distance relationship."
"Maybe," the two of them tried to stay positive. "We always have dms on twitter to communicate through when we're not busy."
"Exactly," Dan smiled at him, "I love that you're so smart and come up with stuff like this."
The two came in for a quick kiss. No distance, no matter the miles, could ever break them apart. They were perfect for each other, and there's no other way to put it. You would never be able to find a set of people more fit for one another.
"I love you so damn much." Phil cooed in his ear, "What shall we do now?"
"Lets go for a drive." Dan told him.
"But it's 10:00, where do we go?"
"Who knows?" he responded giggling.
Phil accepted it and so they went up the stairs to get dressed. Their hair was already straightened so all they needed to do was change out of their sweatpants and put on shirts.
"I only have one button up shirt, so you'll have to wear that." Dan told him while tossing the shirt at Phil, "everything else is black t-shirts."
Phil giggled as he buttoned up the plaid shirt. Dan grabbed a plain black shirt that says "is this black enough" in a different shade of black.
"That fits your personality perfectly." Phil chuckled.
The boys walked down the stairs to the front door.
"We're going out bye!" Dan shouted out to his parents while he grabbed his car keys.
Dan hopped in the drivers seat as Phil sat in the passenger seat. They made subtle eye contact and giggled, before Dan reached over to give him a kiss. He then turned back to the steering wheel and gave it all of his attention.
"Where do you like to go?" Dan asked Phil as he set out for the road.
"Um, the library."
"No, you nerd," Dan teased, holding Phil's hand as he drove with his other one, "I mean like scenery. A city, a small town, a par-"
"I like open fields." Phil cut him off. "Big open fields to see the stars. It's cheesy but I really do love stars."
"Alright, then a field it is," he told him with a smile, glimpsing over at Phil with dreamy eyes.
Dan drove for miles, blasting the music with the windows and not caring about the glares they got from other people in their cars. He didn't quite know where any fields were, but Phil was giving him clear directions to a place.
"And then a right turn here." Phil shouted over Muse blaring loudly.
They pulled into an empty lot beside a field that stretched out at least one mile. Dan grabbed a blanket from the trunk of his car and tossed it to Phil.
"I love how you conveniently have a blanket in your car." Phil laughed, also grabbing from a full pack water bottles that he also had.
They headed out about half a mile, holding hands the entire time. Phil paused and laid out the blanket neatly, in about the middle of the field. They sat down next to each other, then lied down, gazing upwards at the stars.
"It looks beautiful, doesn't it?" Dan whispered.
"Not as beautiful as you." Phil replied.
"What a line." Dan teased him.
"But I mean it, you look perfect in the moonlight." Phil continued, planting a kiss on Dan's lips, pulling their bodies upwards.
Dan's face turned pink, but he did not hesitate to return the kiss. Dan ran his hair through Phil's soft, jet black hair. He smiled into the kiss as it deepened. Phil pulled away and landed his back onto the ground again.
They laid in each other's arms, no sounds except for the distant chirping of crickets and their steady breathing. Slowly, their body heat began to fall but they didn't care, they pushed their bodies together to get any warmth that they possibly could until they drifted to sleep.

Phil slowly awoke to the peacefulness of nature. He stretched out and felt the damp grass, hearing bird calls and the wind gently blowing through the trees. He admired the way Dan had a slight smile on his squished face as he was in a deep sleep. Phil planted a light kiss on Dan's forehead and got up to the highest point of the field and watched the sun rising over the horizon through the treetops.
Dan's eyes opened and he looked over at Phil admiring the sunset. Despite his hatred for the early morning and being awake before noon, Dan couldn't help but smile at the way Phil's bright blue eyes shined in the sunlight.
"Gosh, you're beautiful." Dan called out in his raspy morning voice.
"I wish I could say the same about your hair." Phil giggled as he got up and walked over to Dan, playing around with his hair that was sticking up all over the place.
"Oh shut up, you hair could look better." Dan poked back.
"What really?" Phil questioned, opening his phone to check his fringe.
"No, your hair always looks perfect, baby." he planted a soft kiss on his lips.
"I love you." Phil said in a sing-song voice.
"I love you too. So much." Dan smiled, bringing his face closer to Phil face, "let's go home."
So, they walked back to the car with their fingers intertwined, Phil's head resting on Dan's shoulder.
I haven't written/updated in ages go me. Sorry if this chapter is shit.
But guys, on my birthday (May 20)................
i met dan and phil
It was so great they wished my happy birthday and Phil drew me a balloon on the poster I had them sign and I was so happy and ugh I'm gonna cry thinking about it.
If you ever meet them, you can't prepare for the emotions during or after it happens. They're so tall and I felt so awkward and it was over in about two seconds and aw now I'm getting sad. I hope you all get to meet them one day, and if you already did, I hope it happens again.
Also thanks for 32k? Holy crap you're all amazing.
Now I'm gonna stop rambling okay I hope you enjoyed the chapter, and I hope you have a good day/month/year/life. Stay positive if you can, and if you can't you can always talk to me:)
Love always,
Mary xxxx(P.s: The song is longer than the chapter again depending on how quickly you read. So feel free to listen to the rest of this beautiful song when you finish reading[I'm saying this bc it's one of my favorites]. My apologies for the emotions it may cause.)
