Phil smiled happily as he tossed his graduation cap into the air and watched everyone else's fall beside him. It wasn't that he had forgotten about Dan, but he did slip Phil's mind halfway through sophomore year. He did occasionally think about him and get sad but his first year roommate, Will, kept him happy and kept him alive.

Of course Phil sometimes did sometimes get suicidal but with all his efforts to keep concentrating on his classes and actually having a social life, he never had time to do anything too bad. He had been clean for four straight years.

During the summer he stayed with Will at his parents' place because no way was he going back to that hell he used to call home and he and Dan were too disconnected to go to his parents.

"Phil!" Will screamed to him, waving his diploma in the air, "We did it! We graduated!" They pulled in for a quick hug and then Phil turns behind him and hugs Will's girlfriend, Amber.

"I better see your artwork in a museum someday," she whispered in his ear, with her thick Texas accent that he had grown so accustomed to make fun of, then pulled away making solid eye contact with a nostalgic smile, "I'll be the first one there to see it."

She wiped away a tear and walked away with his boyfriend's hand in her's to say hello to his parents, earning a congratulations by most people. She was extremely well liked, and being her friend made Phil the same way.

"Babe!" a familiar voice called out to Phil.

"Tommy!" they pulled in for a hug and a kiss.

They were the least likely to ever be together but Tommy had seen in on campus and immediately broke into sobs as he confessed his stupid act and the fact that he had been bisexual all along and always liked Phil.

"I can't believe you nerds graduated." Rebecca rolled her eyes as she took a picture. Tommy happily let her live with him when she wasn't accepted into any colleges. They dragged her in for a picture with them.

"I must say, you clean up nicely." Tommy said, "it's the first time I've ever seen you without those crazy piercings and wearing a nice dress. Even if it is black." he teased her playfully.

They handed the phone over to Tommy's little sister, who was only 4 years old. "Becca you have a pretty smile!" she cheerfully said while snapping the picture.

Rebecca bent down to talk to the girl so Phil and Tommy faced each other.

"I can't believe how long it took me to finally admit my feelings. I can't believe the shit I put you through, love. I'm so sorry and I'm so glad you forgave me for all of it."

"I know baby, and while it did hurt it's worth it. No more Allison, no more Dan, no more random girls to sleep around with." Phil went on, Tommy pulling him in his arms.

"No more, I promise."

"PHILLIP LESTER!" Chris' voice boomed through the crowds.

"Oh my god." Phil muttered with happiness, surprise, and slight embarrassment before he ran over to Chris and PJ and hugged them, "I can't believe you guys are here."

"Wouldn't miss it for the world" PJ said, "did Dan come?"

Phil was struck with horror. He didn't know if Dan would come or not, they hadn't spoken in four years so why would he?

He broke down into sobs and when the two boys looked utterly confused Phil explained the whole thing, from their breakup to dating Tommy.

"I can't believe you're dating that-that..asshole! After what he put us through, what he put you through! He doesn't deserve you, Phil. Dan deserves you, you need to find him again." Chris angrily told him.
