"You okay.

Yeah, yeah you just fine.

I know what I's talking bout' secause i's your doctor.

Now you should stay here and I take care of Dean k?"

I opened my eyes to see a very big doe eyed baby mermaid inches from my face. "Oh no you're fully waking up! I love you really I do, like my mommy but I love Dean. So i'm sorry bout this!" Before I could get a chance to even begin saying something I had a pillow on my face. For being just a baby Ava was  very, very strong. Just waking up I struggled to fight her off, I didn't want to hurt her. She refused to give though. "Dean." I screamed from under the pillow but nothing. "He no hear you. They can't I turned on the T.V too loud in the living room." More pressure was applied to the pillow from Ava. That was it, I had had enough of a baby trying to kill me because she had some sort of sick fascination with my love. Now I still cared about not hurting her but I just wanted out from under the pillow. Using all the strength I could possibly muster I shot up sending Ava somersaulting off of myself and the bed. She sat on the floor with the look of terror on her face as I stood up and tried to regain my balance. "Don't tell my mommy!" She cried bolting out from the room and running down the hall with her arms flailing in the air. "Monster! Monster! She's going to get me! Run! If you can't run then you'll get left behind!" That must have been what Ava was using as an excuse for running out of the room.

Even though I was immune to the pod's venom it had still put me out. Leaning against the wall I ran my fingers through my hair and tried to focus on the faces that were now staring at me. I saw Rach, Taylor, Aiden, Mika, Dean, Demon I mean Ava, Layla, and two other figures I couldn't make out.  Quickly Dean raced to my side and put all of my weight onto him. I hadn't realized just exactly how tired I had been until he had done so. "How long was I out?" " A day and a half." He replied adjusting me better so I was now only relying on him for support. "Are you okay?" He asked cocking his head to the side and slightly slouching so he could make perfect eye contact. Oh those glowing blue eyes how they do things to me. Ugh just look at him, I mean can you really blame Ava for trying to kill you? She has good taste in men so that's a good thing right? It's not even like she could actually kill you, you're immortal. Just watch out for that little beast. She may be insanely cute but she's out to get you. Avoid all stairs and any other dangerous things while she's around. Heading my voices warning I looked up to see Ava making a choking motion looking in the direction where Dean and I were. Stooping to her level I made a finger gun and repeatedly shot in her direction, she didn't enjoy that much by the way she was now glaring at me.

Focusing more on the figures that were now right by Rach and Taylor I could clearly make out who they were. It was Sam and Eleon, the two people that even though they were sweet guys I didn't like them. Not because they had done something to me, because they hadn't. But simply for the fact that they were in high school and fancied the girls as the girls fancied them as well. I know how high school boys are, Hell it may have been a very long time ago but I remember it all too well. In a nut shell a majority of them are dumb fucks to say the least. "Alright let's get you back to bed until you're fully awake and more stable." Dean guided me back to the room and gently set me on the bed. He too laid down right by me and interlaced his fingers with mine. "You know we're leaving in a week don't you?" I nodded in response not saying anything. I was seriously dreading the fact of having to leave on a mission again. Not that I didn't enjoy doing missions but I just wish it was more spaced out from our previous one. "Just making sure you remembered that's all. I know you don't really care particularly for the boys but they're good guys. So you can put your guard down when they're by the girls. They would be idiots if they tried anything while you're around. There's nothing more terrifying than a five foot mama bear protecting her cubs."

I just laughed and tightened my hand in his. He must have put my ring on while I was asleep, because it was very much there on my left finger reminding me that I was going to be with him forever. "Oh!" I shot up and dug around in the little table by my bed. Pulling out a small box I began "Dean I uh got this for you." I held out the box in the palm of my hands and squinted my eyes shut. Somewhere in the back of my mind hoping that he would say he had changed his mind about marrying me. Slowly I cracked one of my eyes that had been so tightly shut that it sort of hurt from the strain. Dean laid there in front of me smiling and slipping on the ring. Nooooo! it was a courtesy proposal thing. Or what ever you would call it, I didn't think he would actually accept it. I mean you didn't even say something meaningful it was just like here take it bitch. And he did so I guess this does in deed end our journey of chasing gorgeous men. Oh well what a way to go! ;) I stared at the blackish silver band that was resting perfectly on his finger and staring back at me. I would be lying if I didn't say that the idea of being with him forever scared the fuck out of me. I was immortal as was he so forever was a very, very long time. "Oh come on. Usually it's the guy that  appears to be terrified at the idea of being married not the girl. The girl is usually overwhelmed with joy and wedding planning. You know you don't have to do this if you don't want to." He mumbled off looking down at the ring. "No, No I do very much want to marry you Dean. I love you, more than I thought possible. And the girl is very much overwhelmed with wedding planning, I mean you should just see Aiden." I teased to lighten the mood. And it worked by the smile that was pulling at the corners of Dean's mouth.

"Seeing that everyone for the most part is here we should do an engagement party. Nothing big or anything just us all having a nice dinner together in the back yard. It does have a woodland feel and if we were to string up some lights it would be beautiful. Think about it Cande i'm sure the girls and Aiden would enjoy it, I know I would so what do you say?" Look at that face how could you even think about telling him no? I mean really he looks like a puppy begging for something. Do it! Do it for him and he'll have to do something for you! If you know what I mean, you're doing a lot better now. ;)  I knew going against both Dean and my inner voice would be difficult and quite honestly I wasn't up for the fight. At least not now, I don't get in fights I know I'm going to lose and I knew this was a rare one I could not win. "Sound's fun." I replied forcing a smile but trying my best to not let it look forced. "Really." He asked scooting closer with his blue eyes wide in excitement. "Yeah I mean we are leaving soon and a party or whatever is a good way to I guess not worry about things. So yeah, we'll do it I'm sure Aiden would love decorating the yard." I smiled and looked out the big window over looking the huge back yard. It did very much look like woodland and would look very lovely with lights and what not. It's going to be formal so I should probably go and help Aiden and get ready. I'll see you tonight at our engagement dinner." Dean called over his shoulder as he walked out of my room.

Just by him calling it that made me start to get the tingly feeling. He was the only one that could cause that to happen, it was weird but the good kind of weird. "You alright with this?" A voice asked followed by the feeling of a body plopping itself down on the bed. "Aiden? What are you doing?" I asked flipping over to look at him. "Oh nothing just the idea of you having an engagement party seemed a bit odd. Not the idea of you getting married but the actual idea of you agreeing to it. I mean you haven't seemed all to excited about getting married and what not. So what made you agree to it?" There was no lying to Aiden, I wanted to but somewhere along the line he became my best friend and like a  brother to me. So he would be able to tell if I wasn't honest with him, it sucked but at the same time it was nice to have him. Usually when I had an insanely gorgeous guy as a friend it usually ended up going in a totally different direction. "Don't worry Dean isn't making me do anything, I just thought it would be nice that's all. We're leaving pretty soon and I just figured why not you know?" Aiden furrowed his brow and stared out the window into the yard. "Okay I just wanted to make sure you want to do this and Dean isn't making you." I nodded and stood beside Aiden and elbowed him as hard as I could without hurting him in the ribs. "What do you mean huh? I'm not some sort of push over that let's a gorgeous  guy walk over me and have a party because he wants to. I can make up my own mind, i'm a captain. So take that!" Again I elbowed him in his stomach causing him to buckle over and grab the side that had been hit as well. "Oh you little demon. You're too fast to grab on to. You win this round tiny, but next time you won't be so lucky. I'm going to go decorate, you need to get ready." Aiden hobbled out of the room but before he left he looked over his shoulder, "I love you. Not like that but like a sister, I just wanted to throw that out there." "I feel the same." I replied smiling. "I'll see you tonight then Cande, oh and look lovely." He shut the door before the flying stuffed animal could hit him.
