"So this castle is very old. And where we're about to go is where they did all of their torturing.

It's not what I do.

I'm not like that. I try to not harm anyone.

But if they push me things don't work out for them.

So don't be scared.

And stay close."

Kiera forced a smile as she grabbed two torches from the wall and handed one to Aiden. Taking the whole "Stay close."  To heart he draped an arm over me and pulled me close to him. He's making a move on you. Now make one on him or suffer the consequences!  "Now there are people down here but I can assure you they have not been tortured like how it is evident that some have been before." Kiera called out as we passed cage looking cells that had motionless bodies on the floor. To add how creepy it was down here, it had that medieval feel that Kiera spoke of. It looked like something out of a story book. Like what one would imagine when they read someone was sent to the dungeon. There was silence as we walked to where Kai and Jade were being held until they met their fates in the morning. All that filled the silence was the clicking of Kiera's heels and a slight groan every once in a while.

"Are you ready?" Kiera asked but it came out sounding more as her trying to prepare herself for what was to come. Both Aiden and I nodded in response. She nodded her head back and pushed the door open. Lying on the floor absolutely motionless were the bodies of Jade and Kai. All was silent, not even a breath came from them. Feeling uneasy I shifted my weight on my feet and subtly inched closer to where Aiden was standing. Slightly nodding his head he placed his hand lightly on my side. Though it was just a simple touch, it made me feel some what safer. "I know you're not dead for you are immortal. I have not been so kind to leave you with something to put you in a comatose state. "Now stop wasting my time and speak. Tell me what your plan is. Tell me why you are so fascinated with Cande being here. Tell me now or I will rip your heads off right now and set you to fire." This whole time I had thought of Kiera being an innocent little flower but not now. Now I was scared of her myself which was odd. It never happened, I feared no one for the most part. Well almost no one. Aiden was pretty scary when he had to go to the bathroom but that was pretty much it. I had learned to shove everything I feared deep down where it wouldn't bother me again.

Jade finally stood, inches away from Kiera and flashed a disturbing smile. "Because Kiera. She is worth so much more torn up in little pieces than she is alive. If you allow us to get rid of this little gash you, we will be so much better off. Now think about it. You are the face of immortals. Do you really want this mutation to be considered an immortal. Think about how pure and beautiful our race is. She brings down our value. Honestly Cande is more trouble than she's worth. Let us hand her over to Koda. He'll take care of this problem and we'll be fine. She has a big red target on her back and everyone is going to be after her sooner or later." Jade began to circle around Kiera as she spoke, trying more desperately to get Kiera to side with her. "He is going to kill her. I will not allow that to happen." She finally said grabbing hold of Jade's neck. Slowly she applied more pressure causing light streams of blood to spill. "Kiera." Jade choked; feet dangling in the air and her hands clawing at Kiera's trying to get free. "Cande is not mutation, she is evolution. The first to really bond with the blood of others. She is the future of this lifetime. You show her the respect that she deserves or." She didn't finish her statement, instead the once light streams of blood that came from Jade's neck darkened in color. Keeping her silence she threw Jade against the wall and moved onto Kai who still was not moving.

"It's your turn to speak." Like Jade, Kiera picked Kai up by the neck and began to apply pressure. "Why does Koda want her so bad?" Silence. "Tell me why it is so important that he get rid of her." More silence from Kai filled the room. Unlike Jade he was unwilling to give her the information that she wanted. "If you kill me you will never find where your beloved Zachary's remains are. His limbs are un damaged Kiera, Even his head. It's still out there somewhere, where he will never become whole again. Go a head though if you don't love him and you are willing to end us for this thing you have come accustom to. By all means go forth with our execution. You will know that your one love is still out there and you will never be with him again. Your dream to have a family of your own will be forever gone. Because we all know you will never love anyone the way you loved him. You are so motherly that I know the thought of not having children is  too much for you to take in. Give Cande to us to give to Koda. This will end all of our problems. If you think you are protecting her by not having us hand her over, you are wrong. He has a plan that she is going to fall right into. Handing her over will just make everything happen so much faster. There is not stopping the inevitable Kiera, either way now or later she is going to die. " "No." She growled tightening her grip around his neck much tighter than the one she had on Jade's neck. "I cannot let you go through with this. I cannot allow you to be allied with Koda. He has ended many innocent lives. As long as I am around I will not hand over Cande to him. I don't care what this will end, I will not do it knowing that he is going to kill her. She has done nothing to anyone, other than risk herself to protect everyone."
