The little voice made it hard to pay attention to what Max was saying. Infact it was making it hard to focus on anything at all. Everything she said or whispered in my ear was insanely inapproiate. I could not even begin to say how grateful I was I did not give into her. She would get me in worlds of trouble, especially now. As hard as it was I somehow managed to drown her out.

"So you come here and ask that I back you up on a fight that doesn't really have anything to do with myself or my pack?" The tone in his voice made me want to drop the whole thing and just run the other way. At least I tried, wrong number, farewell. "When you put it that way, you make it sound horrible. Believe it or not though Max. This is eventually going to involve you, and your pack. Koda my have a hate for the agency but what makes you think he's going to take mercy on those that don't have anything to do with the agency? He knows you worked for them once, that's all he needs to fuel his hate. What are you going to do when he does decide to attack? He is the strongest thing I have ever gone up against. So i'm offering you this deal to not only benefit mysel but you as well. You're good Max but as good as you are Koda is better. I'm not saying you have to give me an answer right now. I'll give you time to think it over and let me know. I have to make a couple more stops anyway. Just think it over." "He'll, we'll do it."

Eli stepped up behind Max and draped her arms over his broad shoulder. "We will?" He asked being just as or more confused and caught of guard by her response. "Yes we will. Think about it Max she's offering help. Just in case anything does happen, don't you want to make sure we're safe. All of us. Now though; Cande you promise to do your best to hold up your half of the deal and protect us?" "Yes, I will do my very best to keep you just as safe as you are now. You have my word." Eli looked at Max to hold out his hand to make the deal final. It was funny to see how she could just bully him around to get whatever she wanted. He was so much bigger than she was and yet he showed more fear towards her. Letting out a low sigh he reached out and grabbed hold of my hand. "As long as you have my back we'll have yours, I just hope you know what you're doing." "Max of course I do, would I come to you hoping you would except my offer on a plan I was flying blind on?" "Yes you would!" He laughed and clasped his hands loudly together. "You never were one to think a plan through."

Aiden I guess didn't like Max kidding around with me like that. He shifted in his seat and looked from Max to Eli. "It's fine, i've known Max for far too long." I whispered quietly to reassure him that things were okay. He didn't say anything, just sat back in his seat but didn't entirely let his guard down. Good gawd he takes this whole protector thing too seriously. Tell me why do Him and Dean act like you're som delicate little flower that can't kick ass. I know you can, everyone knows it too. I've seen you rip things apart in order to kill him. Keep Aiden calm so we can still oogle at Max. Good lawd he's gorgeous! Again the little voice was right, which was hard for me to admit. Though Aiden wasn't in his wolf form if he showed how on guard he was it would offend Max. I mean Max may be well built but Aiden was even more well built than him and could probably very easily take him. Let them fight! They'll take their shirts off and we'll be sitting right up front to see the whole thing. Just give me something so I can see Max with his shirt off! Do it for me!! For meeeehhh!

"Tell me Cande, what are you? Because when all this fucking shit happened you didn't turn into anything. Anything beast like at least. You just became immortal and immune to everything. Now though, I can smell that you have werewolf in you (I've taken that out of context. Oh my, oh my indeed.) Not only werewolf but vampiric blood as well that flows in your veins. I've heard of hybrids but they are very difficult to get. One of the infections usually over powers the other, but not you." I took a deep breath and look to Aiden. He didn't say anything, all he did was shrug his shoulder in response. "It's a secret. But I trust you so i'll tell you but, if you mention this to anyone at all. I promise you Max I will take you down and not really give a fuck about who else gets taken down as well." He nodded and scooted closer to the edge of his seat and leaned forward to be able to hear better.

"You've probably heard that the blood of an Immortal is the cure. It's the only succesful cure there is to all this mess. Well I'm an immortal so you could imagine how thrilled I was to find out that by draining me to save others I was. Not really, that is actually the last thing I want to happen. Only a hand ful of people know this, others think it but haven't said anything yet. Either way someone I love very much has altered me. In a way to not only keep me safe but my family. He did it out of love."  Silence filled the room and for a second I was half expecting to hear a pfftt from Aiden just to break it. There was nothing, nothing but utter silence. "Well by that act of love, you know that who ever put themselves at such a  risk to keep you safe loves you more than life itself. I mean altering someone now is quite possibly the worst thing someone could do. Especially if they succeed in making a hybrid as you are. You needn't to worry though, your secret is with us. For all we know you're just a naturally infected hybrid." Eli finished her statement with a warm smile. Even though I didn't know her, I trusted her.

"We better get going, we've been gone for quite some time now. I'm sure Dean is only minutes away of having the falcon do a sweep to find you." "Dean?" Max asked with a raised eyebrow. "Yeah he's the co captain of Cande's ship; he's also her fiance." Don't say that horrible, horrible word you idiot! I never agreed to this! You tell your brother we never agreed to be his fiance. I don't want to be married anymore! Seeing Max has reminded me that there are other gorgeous men outside of the city we call home. Deny Dean being your fiance. He's just a friend with benefits. lots and lots of benefits! "Oh really?" He responded with a smile creeping onto his face. "You of all people Cande were the very last one I would have thought to settle down. Not that you were all over the place but you just put Rachel first. I couldn't see you doing something like bringing someone else into you closed little world. I'm happy for you though, he must mean an awful lot to you. I expect an invitation when this wedding of yours is going to happen." Not only will you get invited to the wedding but you will also be the entertainment at our bachelorette  party. Aw yiss you shall be the stripper. Remember to stop by the bank so we can get single bills. He'll get more money the more he is willing to do. The winkeist of winky faces.

The little voice thrusted the air and tried to climb up her coat rack to do some sort of stripper thing to it. It looked more as if she were having her way with it instead. She failed though, the rack tipped over and pinned her to the floor. She laid there, not moving hopefully this was the one thing that will get all of her perverted thoughts out of my mind. "Yeah I didn't think I would bring someone new in either. It just kind of happened, it's a good thing though. It was nice seeing you both. I'll keep in contact and you have a way to get a hold of me if you need to." I got up and hugged Max. Aww yiss was whispered from the motionless figure that was still under the coat rack. Eli caught me by surprise as she stood and pulled me against her tiny body for a hug. No wonder all of the wolves seemed to fear her. Not for what she was but because she was much stronger than I was expecting.

There was a slight pop as she hugged me against her even closer as I tried to get away. "You take care of yourself. Okay? I can tell Max cares for you, and he's lost so much already. I would hate to see him lose someone else." "I will, you two take care as well." I choked out in her tiny grip of death. "We'll see you soon." They disappeared only to return back to where we were heading out in their wolf form. "It's just for safety you know." I knew exactly what Max meant, just in case one of the wolves decided they didn't want me on their land and decided to maul me. Yeah just in case something like that happened, they would be there to stop it.  Honestly though knowing that they were with me did make me feel better. I kept my eyes forward but every time I would look around i would see pairs of eyes just waiting and watching lurking in the shadows of the trees. They did not approve of how Eli and Max were treating me and I really couldn't blame them. It was just their instinct.

Though the walk back to the falcon in all reality was only fifteen minutes It might have well been a days journey. Mostly because of my nerves from the wolves watching. I had never been so happy to see the falcon again. "Remember to take care, I know we've told you that but I honestly mean it." Both  Eli and Max bumped their heads against me. "I know, you two too." I smiled as I boarded the falcon and waved good bye. They responded by nodding their heads and bounded off into the woods where they could no longer be seen. "So how did it go? No injuries or incidents?" "No Dean it went really well."
