Like all the other times I've had to say good bye, there were no long sad good byes today. I made it a point to avoid seeing some of the people I loved most. Only to protect myself from what was to come. Today was the day that was long overdue. I was finally going up against Koda and hopefully take him down. I honestly couldn't have my mind on something else like Dean or Mika while I was out there. That would just put me and quite possibly everyone else at risk. I wasn't going to have that.

"It looks pretty dead here Cande, are you positive that this is where he is?" Aiden asked as he trotted to my side and looked around. "It is. He wants it to look like this is going to be an easy job. Trust me Aiden do not let your guard down at all. Let's move forward." I advised slowly walking down the now dead streets of the red square. The only way to honestly describe how it now looked would be to call it a ghost town. There was no sign of life at all anywhere, no birds, no slight sounds of breathing from someone who couldn't be seen. There was just nothing left. "Oh good look someone has come to help. Finally please! Please help me! Please I'm scared just let me go home!" A woman screamed from an empty building. "Aiden no! It's a trap!!" I yelled grabbing on to the big brown wolves shoulder. "Aiden it's a trap don't listen. It's a pod trust me. Aiden look at me if we go looking for whom ever that is, we're going to get killed." "But Cande." He protested shaking his head in an attempt to get her wails for help out of his head. "Aiden, hey look at me listen to my voice I need you to focus. I need you to have my back right now. Not try to be a hero for someone that isn't really here. Can I trust you?" He nodded is head, squinting his eyes to try and drown out whatever it was that was hiding.

Your mind is all over the place right not. That's not good for you. You should just turn off your emotions to get through this. They're just going to get in the way. If there was any time that you were ever going to trust me it would be now. I know what I am talking about so just shut them off. I swear I will do everything I can to help you turn them back on. "No." I whispered to myself. "What was that?" Aiden asked looking at me over his shoulder. "Oh nothing Aiden. I just thought I saw something." smooth.

"So what's the plan Cande? Do we go in there and you know kill everything that gets in our way? Or do we actually do something smart like not piss everyone off because we are seriously out numbered?" By the tone of his voice Aiden sort of thought that the first plan he had said was our plan. The truth was I didn't have a plan. I was just going to play it by ear but there was no way I could tell him that. For two reasons, One it wasn't smart and could put both of us in great danger. And two It was just a really stupid idea. "We'll see what we're up against when we get to where we need to be. Then I'll tell you what our plan of attack is." He nodded in agreement and we pressed on to the over sized building that Koda was hiding out in. Outside stood his guards that had a slight resemblance to being pods but they weren't. "Be careful Aiden. Don't draw too much attention to us as we approach he's got the building fully surrounded. I'm not sure what exactly they are, if I had to guess i would say they're in transition to become a pod. Let me handle it." I whispered as we got closer to the building.

"And who do we have here?" One of them asked taking a step forward in an attempt to intimidate me. Show no fear. even though his teeth are all pointed and he could probably tear us apart with out even trying. Not to mention how his eyes just look like holes, that's pretty creepy. But show no fear you got this. I'm just going to go hide somewhere. "That is none of your concern. Now you're either going to let myself and my partner here through or I can always make a path for us. It's your choice actually, so make a decision because I don't like waiting." I looked over at Aiden who had a very serious and stern expression on his face. If I didn't know him I would honestly be terrified of him, the big brown wolf that in a second could rip the head off of someone. "Now tell me why would I be scared of you? You are clearly tiny and a girl. Your friend here is a wolf, everyone knows that both of you must have a weakness. One that I would gladly like to find." Not giving him a chance to do anything I reached up and grabbed onto his neck. Applying more and more pressure until his black blood was spilling onto the fingers of the suit I was wearing. "I tried to be reasonable with you, really I did. I'm sure before all this happened you were a good man. So i'm sorry." With that his head ripped clean off of his shoulders and fell onto the floor. In front of Aiden who raised his paw and stomped it into the ground. The sickening cracking noise of his skull put all of the guards on guard.
