You know that just because you're lying here motionless and soundless doesn't exactly mean everyone on board the falcon thinks you're asleep. They know you're awake, I know it, hell even the falcon knows it. You know where we are and lets face it, you're scared. You're scared not of dying but of losing someone close to you. That's just the risk you're going to have to take. Yes you have a perfect record but sometimes things happen and you just roll with the punches. Now stop hiding in your own fear and get out there! Get out there and prove Chris wrong about you, Kill Koda! You are as good as your mind lets you believe you are. I happen to think that you're the best, not to sound full of myself or anything. You know you can do this, now go!

It was a rare moment when the little voice was actually making perfect sense. We had just arrived at red square where it was said that Koda was going to be. By the looks of it, he must have been here. The streets were dead, literally dead. Corpses were strewn all about the streets. Probably from a resistance that had formed against him. The brave ones faced his army of pods and sadly lost. He was such a monster that I honestly had no choice but to kill him. It was for the best, for everyone not just myself. He had obviously killed an area of a city that got in his way. What was he to do if more than just an area got in his way? What if he did go back to HQ and decided to unleash god knows what on the city? Rach was there, to hell with everyone else she was all I cared about. As horrible as it was it  was true. I loved everyone I considered my family but that's just it, they weren't my real family, she was. Even just thinking that to myself made me feel like a horrible person. Quickly I shook my head to get that thought out. Thankfully it worked, but it didn't ease my nerves.

"Cande." A soft voice came from the other side of the door. Though her voice was lowered in an attempt to not alarm me in anyway it was not comforting. "Yes." I called to Mikaela from where I stood looking out the window. Letting herself in, she met my side and stared at the wasteland of the red square. "He is just awful. Any shred of humanity that he once had is now clearly gone. He's an animal, that's why he needs to be stopped. You are the only one that can do it, I have so much faith in you Cande. We all do, if we didn't none of us would have followed you blindly here. You are going to do just fine darling." Mikaela forced a smile on her face, she looked as if she were more in pain though. I knew her well enough to know that she was scared. She was scared of the same things I feared. But she wouldn't dare admit it out loud. The only difference between herself and I was that unlike me, she actually had faith in the idea of me being able to successfully kill Koda. There was no doubt in her mind that I would lose. That was the scary thing.

"I hate to interrupt and all but, the insanely good looking captain is being called down to the weapons dock. You know to be suited up and all. Oh wait I got confused let me start over. The ordinary captain and her trusty devilishly good looking co commander are being called down. I'm sorry Cande to make you think you were insanely good looking. You're okay I guess if you squint an eye after you've poured chili pepper in it and poked it. Yeah, then you're okay looking." "Aiden I am going to kill you! Yes we're together and all but that doesn't mean that you are safe from death!" Mikaela power walked to where Aiden had been standing in the door. "Please don't beat me! Not again Mika! Not again!" He cried in a playful tone as he threw himself on the floor and curled up into the fetal position. Laughter cracked through the room as we all had a good laugh at him. "Lighten up Mika, i'm just lightening the mood that's all. Do you think Cande wants to be all stressed out about what's to happen? No. So a little humor isn't a bad thing." He ended his statement by doing a half smile that revealed one of his dimples and a wink. "Seriously though they're waiting for our brave captain and leader down there. Oh wait I'm talking about myself again. I'm sorry Cande, maybe once I bump you out of the way then I'll be the brave, handsome and fearless captain. Even get the love of Dean. Oh yes that is going to be a happy, happy day! " "Aiden!!" Mika warned him again. Before she could actually get to him, he grabbed hold of my arm and pulled me out of the room, slamming the door in her face.
