"If you's leaving secause I's tried to kill you at the pizza place I's sorry. I's no mean it, Dean is just so sexy. That's what I heared some of the girls say. I's love you, you's know that, so peas stay. No leave again and come back hurt. I's no like when you get hurt." The baby mermaid pleaded tugging on my pant leg. Her violet eyes about five seconds from letting the tears spill over. "Ava my love, I'm not leaving because of you. I'm leaving because I have to. I have to keep my family safe and that includes you my love. I would never let anything or anyone hurt you, so I don't have any choice. I will be back before you know it. I'll try my best not to get hurt so you don't worry. Okay?" She nodded her head and burrowed her face in my shoulder. Her silent jerking motions and the growing wet spot on my shoulder let me know that her tears had broken through. "Oh my sweet baby girl. Don't you worry, I'll have my friends with me, they'll help keep me safe. That's what we do, we protect each other. I don't want you to be upset. Because you know why? When I come back it's going to be the wedding and you get to wear your pretty dress. You remember your pretty dress don't you?" She pulled her head away and wiping a tear she smiled. "I's no want you to go!! I's can be a good girl so you can stay and they can find someone else to go. Not you's." She began crying again and burrowed her head once again. Seeing her react in such a way was ripping my heart out. I too could feel the tears building up in my eyes but I refused to let them go. If I cried she would think I was scared and that's the last thing I wanted her to know. "Here my love, this is my favourite ring. I never, ever take it off. I want you to have it until I get back. I love this ring as much as I love you. Someone very special gave it to me a very long time ago. So when you miss me just hold the ring and it's like I'm here with you. Okay? I promise everything will be just fine." She pulled away and smiled looking down at the shimmering galaxy looking ring. The stone caught the light just right in her hands to give it the appearance of it looking like glitter. "It so pretty! Me love it! Ok I's no be sad when you's gone. I's be okay and brave jus like you's." She ran off in the other direction and looked for something in one of her drawers.

"I honestly never thought I would see you part with that ring. I mean Atticus did give it to you after all. Even when you stopped speaking with one another you kept it on. No matter what it remained on your right hand's ring finger. I thought you would have taken it off a long time ago. With how everything happened and all. It's a nice thing you're doing for Ava. I believe she is going to miss you and is more worried than I was. If that's even possible." Layla clasped her hand on my shoulder and gave it a gentle squeeze. "I know I didn't think I would give that ring up either. But she needs it more than  I do. I'm going to see him on the mission Layla. How am I supposed to deal with that? I mean really? With everything that happened. Seeing him again. You know what I don't even want to think or talk about it right now. I'm not having anything to do with Atticus until I have to. Then I will but until them no." Thank fully she dropped the whole subject and stared at her baby. "So I guess this is the last time I'm going to see you until you come back. Just remember to take care okay? I don't want them coming back without you again. You don't always have to be such a hero you know? Even though me telling you this is probably like talking to a brick wall. But in all seriousness, take care and I'll see you when you get back. Layla pulled me into a hug and gave a gentle squeeze. "Oh my god! Ava she's not only your's. I have known her a lot longer than you have. So I can hug her if I want. Cande loves me more than you. What have I told you about biting people's butts?!" "Dat is not nice andI's not posed to do it. But that was for people that had no butt. You's got a monser butt so I's can!" "Good god you are going in time out little demon. Cande I love you and see you when you get back." Layla picked up Ava buy her legs  and carried her away.

Back at home the house was a mess. There were papers scattered all over the table and looked as if noone were here. "Where have you been young lady?" A crazy looked Aiden popped out from under the mess. His hair going in every which way and eyes that looked as if he were on drugs. A couple of seconds Dean emerged out from the mess as well. His hair too a mess and glasses slightly tilted to one side. Oh god no! Oh god what a cruel way to go! Oh god why me?! I"m a good person kind of. I haven't done anything that bad lately. But why? I come home to find my insanely gorgeous boyfriend in a mess with my "Sisters" boyfriend who I question his sexuality quite frequently! NO! Please say they didn't do anything. If they did this is the end for us girl. I mean how or where are we supposed to get someone equally as good looking or a bit better looking than Dean? The little voice dramatically threw herself onto the bed and cried. But instead of crying it sounded more as if she were howling. "I uh. I had to take care of something that's all. And hey what are you two doing. I mean well." "Really?" Dean asked not being able to fight the smile that was pulling at the corners of his mouth. Those glasses. Those eyes. That smile! My ovaries. They're.... gone. I think they exploded. Good god man! "Well we happen to be finalizing some of your details for your wedding. When I woke up and didn't find you I thought you ran out on Dean. Glad to see that you're sticking around though. Now where were we Dean. Before he said anything Dean patted his lap inviting me to go over with him and take a seat. Oh! Go take that seat! Go he's so sexy! Don' t you dare sit in a seat he clearly wants you on his lap. Oh how I'd like something other than his lap. If you know what I mean.Quickly I shook my head trying to get rid of the image of the little voice thrusting the air and winking. She didn't look like a pervert when she winked. Instead she looked like the type of person that lurks in the shadows and takes advantage of drunk people.
