-Melody's POV-
"Um... Melody, I have something to tell you." Layla rocked back and fourth, biting her lip.
I wondered why she had a face full of remorse. That feeling of apprehension clouded over me again. But I managed to hide it. I was about to answer, when I suddenly stopped.
Out the corner of my eye, I spotted two familiar figures. A girl and a boy. The girl hugged the boy, and he didn't seem to like it. I turned around to get a better look, as I squinted my eyes.
My hands started to tremble rapidly, and moves to cover my mouth.
No. It can't be.
Is this a dream, or am I really seeing what's in front of me?
I'm going to need a year-long explanation for this.
I felt my eyes enlarge, and Layla noticed. She stepped closer to me, and held my arm.
"Melody, what's the matter?" Her voice muffled, as I stood as still as a statue. She glared at me.
"U-Uh..." I stuttered, and pointed at the girl and boy. A cold drop of sweat trickled down my forehead.
I heard Layla gulp, like she knew something about it. Her face drained white, and her eyes widened like mine.
"Layla...You know w-what's going on don't you, Why...Why didn't you tell me?" I started to sob.
"I...I'm so sorry..." Layla's eyebrows furrowed, and touched her cheek.
"I thought you were my friend." That was the last thing I said before I ran off. I went into the women's toilets, and locked myself into a cubicle.
The two people who were hugging...
I swear...

Were Jimin and...
Katrina?...
It can't be them?
Can it?
-Jimin's POV-
I tried to find Katrina, but it was so crowded. I kept getting stuck, automatically getting pushed into random places of the airport. This is why I hate airports, it's too hectic. And, especially because I'm short (^-^)
I caught a glimpse of Katrina, and when she saw me she ran fast. You would never know the threat letter I got was from her. She looks so innocent, which is totally opposite from her real personality. I saw two girls staring at me and Katrina, but before I could tell who they were she hugged me. I could tell it was fake, to try and prove a point to someone - Perhaps the girls who were watching us. It felt wrong - she shouldn't be hugging me at all. It's not like she even wanted to, but she was squeezing so hard. Her head was leaning on my shoulder, as I uncomfortably froze up.
"Let go Katrina. Right now." I push her off me and give her a death glare.
"Mission accomplished." Katrina crossed her arms and smirked.
"What do you mean?" I was annoyed.
She turned around to face the two girls.
Then, I saw one of them pointing towards us. She looked familiar, even though she was too far away to identify. But I noticed the recognisable brown, wavy hair and long legs. It can't be who I think she is, right? If it is her, how come she knows I was coming back? All that's in my mind now, is the fact that she's going to hate me after seeing a random girl hugging me. I didn't even tell her I was coming.
I gasped as she ran away, crying.
Oh no, I think it was Melody.
"Katrina. What. Have. You. Done." I growled, and put my face close to hers.
"You should've known yourself. Ha. You couldn't even tell Melody was acting like she was happy when she wasn't. So, proves she isn't that important in your life." Katrina pouted.
"You don't and never will know how important she is to me. Don't you ever say anything like that. If it wasn't for Melody I wouldn't be here." I pointed at the ground while saying the last sentence, and grimaced.
I furiously walked up to the other girl who was next to Melody. I looked into her eyes.
"Who are you and why are you with Melody."
-Layla's POV-
"Who are you and why are you with Melody." Jimin studied my eyes, a dark expression on his face.
"I'm h-her friend." They were the only words that came out of my mouth. Melody told me, he could be intimidating if he wanted to.
I shuffled my hands.
"Is Katrina your little friend too?" He spoke slightly high pitched.
"Yea, but-"
"But you were scared of her. Well me too. And that means we're cowards. So don't just stand here and keep an eye on Katrina. I'll go look for Melody." Jimin went off and disappeared.
I slowly walked to Katrina, who was tapping her foot and smirking.
"Layla," She gestured, then put her arm around me.
Who does she think she is, to play around with people's feelings?
This is not the Katrina I used to know.
I've had enough, I thought, and pushed Katrina's arm away from me.
"You've gone too far. Please, stop," I pleaded her.
"It's not just my fault, you helped too. I thought you were better than this." Katrina gave a long sigh, and rolled her eyes.
"Can we go find Melody and Jimin? They deserve an explanation for this." I glared at her.
"Fine." Katrina gestured to run, and we went into the hallway where Melody ran into.
-Jimin's POV-
I found Melody next to a janitor's room, sitting on the floor. Only a few people walked by, and it's the most quiet place in the airport.
I walked slowly over to her. I missed her so much.
Melody's eyes enlarged again, they dug deep into my soul.
"Jimin..." She whispered and suddenly hugged me. I felt my shirt getting slightly wet with her tears, but I didn't care. I put one hand on the back of her head and one on her waist.
She cried more, her sobs getting a bit louder every second. I frowned. We haven't seen each other for almost half a year, but I know there's something more to this. I feel her distant pain, even though I don't know what it is.
"Melody, talk to me. What's the matter?" I ask, as I hold her arms just beneath her shoulders.
"It's too complicated." I watched her teardrops fall to the ground.
"Nothing is too complicated. Just tell me," I told her softly, raising my eyebrows.
"Well...The truth is... Katrina was meant to be dead. She's the friend I told you about."
"What!?" I almost shouted. I cannot believe what I'm hearing.
Katrina and the other girl came running up to us. They were panting.
"What do you want now." I clenched my teeth.
"I'm Layla. We're...we're here to tell you the truth. To explain everything." They looked stern, even Katrina.
-Melody's POV-
We all decided - awkwardly- that we'd go to Layla's house to talk. An airport is really not the ideal place to have a serious talk at. I wasn't even conscious at the fact that people were staring at us - my eyes were red, they showed sadness and fear. Jimin looked angry and had his arms arched on his sides like a boxer. Katrina was smirking, dusting her skirt and Layla just slouched. It was a beautiful day, but the occurrence that had just happened, seemed to turn the sky grey like an illusion.
We quietly stepped into Layla's car, and fastened our seat belts in unison. Chilling silence filled the car, everyone's face showing disbelief and confusion. The only noise was the car engine, and it startled me. No one said a single word for an hour. Finally, when we got to Layla's house she spoke.
"Please take off your shoes."
We understood and nodded.
