--Next day--
-Park yougi's POV-
Today, I'm going to meet a girl called melody at a cafe. I've never met her before, but Katrina said she's ok.

I'll introduce myself to you, just so you know who I am. I'm Park yougi, a transfer student from Korea. I had to come here to learn English. I came here by myself, because my parents are not very happy at the moment. I have a brother who lives in Korea as well. His name is Jimin. Yes, he's from BTS, but I might say he's depressed.

Anyway, I'm fluent in English, as my friend in Korea is English. She taught me so well, I'm glad she came into my life. I've met Katrina's friends at her school, the day melody was ill. Everyone said I look like Katrina - A girl called Layla hugged me thinking it was Katrina! Maybe because we both have the exact same hair, face shape and nose. It's such a coincidence!

I'm excited to meet melody, hopefully we'll be on good terms.

-Melody's POV-

I stood next to the cafe with my back leaning against the wall, writing fanfic. It's about my life, but portrayed from a different character. I named the girl Harmony, because it matches my name.

I saw Katrina, with a girl next to her. She looked Asian - Korean, to be precise. For some reason she reminded me of Jimin. I wonder why.

"Melody, this is Park yougi, hope you get along," Katrina's face was expressionless.

-Yea I'm doing fine, thanks for asking.- (Sarcastic)

I sigh, as I watch Katrina walk out the cafe. It's so suspicious, introducing me to a friend and then looking angry. I don't comprehend the new Katrina.

The Korean girl smiled at me shyly, and bowed her head.
"I'm Park Yougi, nice to meet you. I hope we become good friends," she said politely.
"Hi, I'm melody, nice to meet you too. Do you want to sit down?" I inquired, gesturing to a small table in a corner of the cafe.
"Yes," Yougi replied.

I don't know why but I like to sit in a corner of public eating places, it feels more private. It's also because I hate having attention on me - I'd rather be in someone's shadow.

We awkwardly sat down and scooted our chairs.
"Shall we tell each other about ourselves?" I asked.
"Sure, I'd love to know more about you. But I'm not allowed to name anyone, I got told by my parents."

"How come?"

"Well, my family is in quite a bad state right now. That's why they didn't come with me. I had to come here because it was already planned, but I'm happy I was able to have this opportunity."

"That's cool. I have to say my life isn't the best right now. It's like I was born unfortunate." I looked down onto the oak table. My life really isn't something I nor you want to talk about.
"I know what you mean," a smile at the corner of yougi's mouth, "But I guess it makes you a stronger person. It's better to get through it when you're young."

I nodded. This girl is so strong, I thought. I wish I was like her, but obviously I'm not. I bet she doesn't cry her eyes out until, they're so puffed up you can't see anymore.

"Could you perhaps tell me about your life? I'm not meaning to be nosy, you just seem like such a respectable person. I'm interested." I looked at her with confidence.
"Sure. I feel so much better if I tell someone about it. I can tell you keep everything to yourself right? When bad things happen?" Yougi tilted her head.

Can she read my mind??

"H...How did you know?" I stuttered.
"From my experience. I'm able to identify the emotions people are feeling just from their actions, and facial expressions. But don't worry, I'm not a freak or anything!" She chuckled, and I did too.
"I'll tell you now. I live with my mum, dad and brother. My dad has a serious illness, and my brother is depressed right now. He had to part with the one he loved, and he's always locking himself in his room. Communication is what he hates recently."

"Ugh, tell me about it."

"When I was 5, my dog got run over in front of my eyes. At the age of 12, I started to get physically bullied. Then, when I turned 15 I lost my best friend. She got murdered," Yougi was about to cry.
Its the first day meeting each other, but I held her hand for support.
"I'm really sorry Su. Don't worry, we'll get through things together, right?" I looked into her sad eyes.
"Thank you," Yougi sniffed, wiping her tears away.

"I'll tell you my life. Get a tissue ready," I raised my eyebrows and nodded at her. Yougi giggled.

"When I was young, my dad used to let me down and lie. He always said things like : "I'll be home for Christmas," but he never came. Those kind of things happened every week. I used to cry."

"I know how you feel..." Yougi trailed off with a concerned expression on her face.

"Last month, there was a gunmen attack. My mum and dog got shot and they both died. I still remember the gunshots - It haunts me." I but my lip.
Yougi covered her mouth with her hand.

"Around that time I had my best friend with me, he supported me so much. I could get through it with him. We kind of loved each other, but we were too scared to say. But a few days after the gunmen attack he found out he had to go back to his country. His dad got diagnosed with a life threatening illness. So that meant I lost my best friend too - I had no one to talk to. It might not sound that bad, but I cried at least 200 times that month. No kidding."

Su suddenly frowned at me.

"What's the matter?" I asked her softly.

-Yougi's POV-

"What's the matter?" Melody asked me.

"Uh, nothing," I shook my head and grinned.

I chose not to say what was on my mind. It'll get too complicated.

The weird thing is, I've noticed that her life story is dangerously similar to my brother's. He visited England, made a best friend, then dad got cancer, so he had to go back to Korea. Is this a coincidence? Is Melody the girl Jimin told me about?

He said he loved her...

We sipped on some coffee we ordered, and when we finished, we headed towards the door.

"I had a great time with you, thank you for today," I bowed at her.
"I'm so glad I met you, hope we can become soul mates," I winked at her and we both laughed.

"Um, Melody, before you leave, can you tell me the name of your best friend?"

"Sure.

Jimin."
