-Sunday: 9am
-Melody's POV-
My stomach churned with hunger, as my teeth shattered from the cold. It's January, the coldest month in England. I sleepily dragged myself out of the bed and into the small kitchen. As I stepped in, the cold, white tiles made contact with my feet and I whimpered in response. I left the window open overnight. The icy air brushed against my cheek, like a sharp blade, sending a chill down my spine.

I opened one of the high oak cupboards, and drew out a coffee tin. The kettle whistled, while I mixed the coffee with milk in my 'world's best daughter' white mug. Mum gave it to me 2 years ago, and now I value it with all my heart. As I poured in the hot water, I thought about the suspicion with Layla. She told me, to meet up with her at the airport today, on Friday. I found it puzzling, she could've told me when we were at the park.

I slowly wrapped my cold fingers around the warm mug, and sighed with satisfaction. A tingly sensation ran down my body as I shivered. The first sip of coffee was heaven, it made my body feel warm and cosy. I almost forgot how coffee tasted like, since we hadn't bought any in ages. Or it might be simply the fact that I did not have the time to think about anything that was not important.

-Layla's POV-
Today is the big day. I'm so afraid about how it'll turn out. It's either going to end up breaking everyone's friendship, or making all of us depressed and in shock. I don't want it to end like that at all, I want to be friends with Jimin and Melody. Why can't I? I ask myself repeatedly. Why did someone have to come into my life just to play their game? But I guess I shouldn't feel resentment for Katrina. It's my fault.

Today is freezing. I lie on my bed, staring at the blue ceiling. I love my room. It's all lilac, with a wooden chest, brown bed, and a small coffee table I made at school. I put on a purple fluffy jumper, and you can probably tell it's my favorite color. I also put on my black jeans, and straightened my hair. I lifted up my iPhone 5 from the coffee table, and I hesitated at the contact 'Melody'. I've never really valued someone as a friend, so I don't know how to make her believe I'm not lying.

I have to do it though.

I pressed call.

"Hi Layla! Good morning," she sounded sleepy and high pitched. It made me laugh, she's so cute.

"Hey. About today, we can meet at the park if you can come? I mean, I don't want to rush you or anything..." I nervously laughed, sitting down on my bed.
"Oh don't worry, I'm almost ready so we can meet in 20 minutes?" Melody was eating something, she talked with her mouth full.
"Ha ha, are you eating something?" I chuckled. She makes me laugh, sometimes for no reason.
"Yea, just a bit of toast. See you!"
"Bye!"

I ran downstairs hastily, wore my black coat and slipped on my brown leather boots. My parents are still sleeping, and I'm the only child so it made my life easier. I had to lie to my parents, that I was going to go to the arcade in the central town. They believed me straight away. My parents are sincere and kind, but are always busy. So they don't really have time for me and my life. They even forgot Katrina's name a couple of times - it was surprising, because I used to mention her name at least 4 times a day ; 1,460 times a year.

I sneakily put my key into the lock, and opened the door. I nearly tripped down the front door steps, I winced at the thought of grazing my knees. It was raining, and I forgot my umbrella. I rolled my eyes, as I pull down my hood. Yea, I have my own car. It's a grey FIAT. It used to be my dad's but he wanted a bigger car so he got another one. It's such a waste of money, but it makes sense in a way that he doesn't have to get me a car for a long time.

I ducked into the car, and sat down on the cold driver's seat.
"C-cold..." I muttered to myself as I fastened my seatbelt.
I adjusted the heating and started the engine. It rumbled, growling like a tiger. I decided to drive, so I can take Melody to the airport with me.

When I got out the car in front of the park, Melody came running up to me. She put both hands on my shoulders.
"Hi!" A cheerful smile spread across her face.
"Let's go!" I motioned to the car, I gave her a big smile back.
Melody nodded, and we headed towards the car. She sat next to me at the front, and I started to drive.
I checked the time : 11:46. It takes 50 mins to get there, so we're early enough. I sighed.

"You okay?" Melody asked me, as I came to a halt in front of a red traffic light.
"Oh y-yea, I'm fine. I just feel so tired..." I trailed off.
"We've been through a lot, but it's the past now. Let's enjoy today, right?" Melody patted my shoulder.
"You're amazing..." I answered, wondering how she could be so indestructible.
The traffic light turning into green again.

-Melody's POV-
"You're amazing..." Layla almost whispered.
My eyes widened. That's exactly what Jimin had said before he left. Am I that amazing? I thought, as I frowned. I'm sure people have gone through much worse.
The traffic light turning into green again.

-an hour later-
I gasped when I got out the car. The airport was huge - so was the car park, with aeroplanes roaring through the sky. The building was 90% glass on the outside, with a sign on the front that said: 'Gatwick Airport'.
"This airport is so big..." I looked at it in awe.
"Ha ha, never met someone so surprised at an airport!" Layla burst out laughing.
"What?" I was clueless. I guess, I'm missing out on everything people do normally. My family likes to stay at their house instead.

-Jimin's POV-
I sit in the aeroplane, rolling back my shoulders. I've got 10 more minutes to go. I rested my head back on the seat, and shut my eyes. The fact that I've been here for 13 hours makes me yawn. I watched 4 films, to entertain myself - and occasionally, the air hostesses would bring drinks and snacks for the passengers.

The more closer I get to landing, the more sick I feel. My stomach is twisting from anticipation. I'm so dumb for listening to what  she told me to do. I remember the times we were in a... relationship, but now we're worst enemies. Just thinking of the word 'relationship' makes me shiver.
"Aish..." I mutter. I don't want any relevance with her. No way.

The plane is about to land, and I sip water so my ears don't pop. I turn the screen off as I pop a chewing gum into my mouth.
The air hostess announced:
'Ladies and gentlemen, we are about to land in England. Please make sure your seatbelt is securely fastened.'

-Layla's POV-
Me and Melody are looking around in shops, while I wait for the signal from her.
"Layla, look!" Melody patted me on my shoulder, and pointed at a skirt. We both rushed over to it. It was brown, with black checks on it.
"It's so cute..." Melody touched the fabric.
"I'll buy it for you. As a present!" I told her.
"Oh, no you don't need to get it for me!" Melody swatted her hand.

"No. I will get it for you." I raised my eyebrows, telling her I'm not taking no for an answer.
"But I feel so bad!" Melody slouched.
"Don't worry!" I walked to the counter, and bought her the skirt.
"Thank you so much!!" Melody suddenly hugged me.
"It's okay." I smiled, and patted her back.

My phone rumbled.

"Oh, is that your phone or mine?" Melody let go.
"It's mine," I hurriedly took my phone out. I think it's the signal.
I opened my mouth to say something, but nothing came out. I panic, as there is so many things that need to get explained. I have to be honest.

"Are you okay?" Melody frowned.
"Um... Melody, I have something to tell you."
