|Anne Irwin|
"Congratulations, you've got a healthy baby girl!" The blonde doctor hands me my baby, and she's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. I look into her (albeit temporary) baby blue eyes in awe for a few seconds, stroking my fingers across the thin blonde hairs on her little head, before deciding her name.
"Hello, little Angel Faye. Welcome to the world, love." I say quietly, getting choked up as the reality of being a mother settles in.
"I'm sorry, but we've got to get her to the nursery while you have your boy." The nurse says with a gentle urgency.
"I understand." I say to the nurse with the short bob-cut brunette hair, looking to back to the now sleeping angel in my arms, "We'll see you soon baby girl." Her father and I watch her and half of the other nurses take her to a separate room to clean her and take her measurements while we prepare for her brother to enter the world.

10 more grueling minutes pass until my hard work is met with the cries of the younger of our twins, a healthy baby boy. The doctor hands him to me just as she had done with Angel earlier, they're so beautiful I can't stop myself from crying. I didn't have any children before today, and now I have two beautiful babies.
"Ashton Fl-" I begin naming my second child, but I'm stopped short as my attention is taken by a nurse running into the room. She runs straight to my doctor and pulls her aside, whispering something to her discreetly.
"Is everything alright Dr. Williams?" I ask over the noises in the room, an unsettling feeling finding its way into my stomach. The eyes that had just minutes ago held so much joy for me, now only held pity and panic.
"And you already alerted Cheif King?" She asked the nurse in a hushed tone.
"Yes ma'am." The nurse responded somberly. Something was wrong, very wrong. My eyes moved from my doctor to my baby before she spoke.
"Miss Irwin, I'm afraid something has happened." My eyes flitted back to the blonde doctor before me, preparing for the worst. "I need you to remain calm, alright?" I nod. "The hospital is doing everything we can, but it appears someone may have taken your daughter."
AN: Hello everyone! This is the prologue for my new story "Hey, Angel". Each chapter after this prologue will be roughly 1,000 words or more, and once I've finished the story I may come back and make the prologue longer if you guys want! This will also likely be the last time someone else POV is used, I couldn't exactly do this from the baby's perspective so I decided Anne was my best option for first person. Let me know in the comments any questions or suggestions you may have!
Update:I am now going through chapters and making them much better, I just wasn't happy with the overall lack of detail tbh. Hopefully this will make the story better so that I can continue to write it in confidence. Thank you for reading! And sorry for the repeated updates to come!
