//Angela (Angel)//

Alex and I make it to school early and I'm able to do a little bit of my homework for the week, I make sure to at least read over what we've been doing so far this week so I won't look like an idiot in class. On our way to lunch a bunch of the squad runs up to me, only a few of them dressed in their cheer uniforms ahead of time.

"Hey girl, where were you yesterday? We missed you." Gavin says before slinging an arm around me, everyone but Gavin and Kelly walking ahead of us to the cafeteria.

"Yeah, what's up with you? Where'd you go? Alex said you were out of the country but she didn't say where." Kelly asks.

"I had to go to Australia for uh... family emergency." I say the last part slowly.

"You don't sound very convinced!" She says, bumping me playfully with her hips.

"Well, it's kind of complicated. I'll tell you guys all about it after practice." I laugh.

"I'm holding you to it!" Gavin yells, and they turn to head to their classes since they don't have lunch with us.

"Should be fun to explain." I mumble, making Alex chuckle.

"At least its interesting." She shrugs.

"Oh my god, Angela! You're back!" Sarah runs to us and engulfs me in a hug that I don't reciprocate.

"What are you doing?" I cautiously ask.

"Uhm, hugging a friend?" She says slowly, backing up to look at me. Alex quirks an eyebrow from behind Sarah, giving me a 'what the hell' look. I shrug.

"Sarah, no offense but, we're not exactly friends." She looks taken aback but covers it with a smile.

"Of course we are, not as close as you and Alex maybe, but we've been friends for so long!" She pouts at me and I fight the urge to just agree with her. But as nice as I am, I'm not going to fake friendship with someone just to make them happy.

"You hardly ever talk to me Sarah, in fact you stopped communicating with me all together when you didn't make the team. Up until last week anyway." Wheels start to turn in my head as I realize that she's a fan of Ashton's band and just about literally lives on Twitter. "Oh, I get it." I roll my eyes, walking past Sarah and linking arms with Alex.

"Hey! What did I do? Did I say something wrong?" Sarah speeds up, desperately trying to get my attention again. I spin around to face her once we get in line for food.

"You didn't have to say anything, it's just that I know why you suddenly want to be my friend." Her following friends walk up behind her in line as I speak.

"What do you mean? It's not sudden, we just haven't talked in a while and I missed you." The girls behind her look a bit confused that she's talking to me again. I cross my arms, rolling my eyes yet again.

"You're trying to be my friend so you can figure out how I know 5 Seconds of Summer, so that you can then try to meet them and One Direction. Right?" Her friends eyes widen.

"You know them?" One of the girls says.

"Yes, she does. And we are friends, I wouldn't just use you." I can see straight through her lies. I never thought Sarah was like this because she was always nice to me, but I'd heard stories of her being mean to other girls before.

"I'm not friends with you, I never have been." I get an idea. "And I'm not friends with them either, I went on a vacation to Australia and happened to run into them when they were in town visiting their families. They invited me over, we played a game, that's it."
