"Ange, if this girl is you... It's gonna change everything in your life, are you ready for everything to change?"

"No, but I have to know." I answer her, looking her in the eyes for a few seconds before she nods and starts the video.

"I'm here with Chief King of Hornsby memorial hospital, where a baby girl has been taken from her family. Dr. King, is there anything we should know or look out for to help find this missing baby?" The camera pans to a woman in a white coat.

"The baby that's missing is a girl named Angel, we believe with hazel eyes, weighing just under 7 pounds, and a rather unique birthmark on her side. Her parents didn't even have enough time with her to get pictures, but she was swaddled in a cloth with pink and purple dinosaurs on it that her parents brought for her when she was in the nursery. We have a picture of her identical twin brother in the blue and green version here." The chief holds up a picture of a baby swaddled in the cloth, being held in a woman's arms. "If you have any information regarding this missing baby, please contact the number on the screen or the police. The family cannot speak at this time, they're inside with their baby boy. If you're the one who took her and you're listening to this, please just bring her back before this goes any further. Thank you." She bows her head slightly before turning and entering her hospital again, the reporters yelling after her.

"Angela... You have-"

"I know." I rest my right arm over my abdomen, letting my hand fall on my side where my weird birthmark sits under my thin flannel.

"Do you think that number is still active?"

"Maybe, they may have changed it by now. It has been almost 20 years." I shudder at the fact that I've been missing for almost 20 years. "Al, I'm a missing person." I look to her with wide eyes. "I've been missing for as long as I've been alive. M-my f-family think I'm d-"

"Ange stop, it's okay." She grabs my shoulders and hold me steady. "Maybe we should go talk to your mom?" At that, it all clicks. She must have done it.

"She kidnapped me." I say slowly, Al's eyes widen seconds later in realization.

"Let's go talk to my dad then, yeah?"

"Okay." I nod, brushing tears from my face that I hadn't noticed before.

She pulls me up and we exit her room and walk down the hall, to her dad's office door. He's worked from home for as long as I've known Alex, I guess he started when he became a single dad. She knocks on the door harder than usual.

"Dad? Dad!" After a few moments the door swiftly opens to reveal her dad in a button up and sweats.

"Yes, what is it sweat pea? What happened?"

"We need you to help us with something."

"What kind of something?" He looks from Alex to me, "Angela are you alright? You look like you've been crying, what happened?" Alex nudges me.

"I was kidnapped."

"What?" His eyes widen in shock and worry. "When, wha- how? Why didn't you tell us sooner, when- how did you get away?"

"Almost 19 years ago." I answer only his first question.

"But you're almost... I don't understand."

"I uhm. We saw a news story from 1994, right after I was born. They were talking about a baby girl who was kidnapped, she was born on my birthday a-and had a birth mark on her side. They said it was unique, a unique birthmark. And she most likely has hazel eyes but she wasn't there long enough for them to take pictures of her."

"Well I, I don't remember seeing any news stories about this. Where was it?"

"Hornsby, Australia."

"Well," he chuckles. "That's a whole different country honey."

"You know that DNA project at school last week?" Alex asks and he nods. "There was a page with a map of the world and it had highlighted regions to tell you what percent of each was in your genes. Your heritage basically. Angela's was like 80% or something Australian. And the rest wasn't even American." I start to freak out internally just thinking about all of it again.

"Dad, can you figure out who to call?" Alex asks him.

"Of course, I'll look into it right away and find out who we need to see. First Angela, should we call your mum?" I direct my eyes to the floor. "Oh, I see. If this is all true then-"

"Yeah." I interrupt.

"I'll get to it right now and let you know when I find something. I'll leave actual contact with the group up to you Angela."

"Okay, thank you Mr. Jameson."

Alex puts her arm around my shoulder and guides me back to her room, both of us sit on her bed and wait to hear something from her dad.

AN: I made up the hospital stuff up, no idea if that's a real hospital or not. Also made up the chief but special points to you if know where I got her name from!
