//Angela (Angel)//

The boys and I finish our breakfasts, having small talk and wondering aloud what we should do for the rest of today. At some point during the discussion we move to the living room and the guys say they want to get to know me better which, unfortunately for Ashton, requires me to talk about my past.

"So, how long are you staying here?" Calum asks.

"Well, now that I think about it I actually can't stay very much longer. My friend Alex is probably going to be bringing home my assignments from school, but we still have a couple weeks left before I can actually leave."

"You're still in school?" Luke quizzes.

"Yeah, I got held back a year." Astons face drops, but a lightbulb seems to go off in Michaels head.

"What about your parents?" He asks with genuine curiosity, meanwhile Ashton clenches his jaw.

"I don't have a dad, just a mum. She may actually be worried if I stay another day. Did anybody tell you guys how I found out I wasn't actually hers?" They all shake their heads and mumble that they didn't know.

"Well, I had a project at school in science class where we drew blood and sent it into this company that could tell us all sorts of information based on our blood. When I told my mom we'd sent in the samples she completely freaked out, she said that it wasn't a normal experiment to be doing. My best friend, Alex, was with me and mentioned that most of the parents signed the forms thinking it was a cool project. She just kept kinda freaking out, asking why she wasn't asked for permission first. But I could sign it since I was held back a year and was 18, she only really calmed down when we said most parents thought it was cool. Then she was completely nice. So anyway after the weekend we went back to class and read the results, mine said I had a blood type that would be impossible given my moms. It also said I was like 80 percent Australian, which is insane since both of my parents are american. Or at least I thought they were my parents." I glance at Ashton and he gives me a sad tight lipped smile. "So I went to Alex's house like I usually do on Mondays after practice-"

"Practice?" Calum interrupts.

"Yeah, I'm in cheer." I smile, the boys look surprised. "So anyway," I say before I get asked any questions. "I went to Alex's immediately after cheer practice and our goal for the night was to figure how to find out if I was adopted. We were gonna look at some sites but didn't know where to start, and Alex had heard about your concert in the U.S. before you went back to the UK, actually some of my classmates that had went to see One Direction last week stopped me at school and said I looked like the drummer in the opening act. I was a bit offended at first since she was saying I looked like a boy and then weirded out because she thought he was hot." The boys chuckled, "But anyway, Alex wanted to look into your band, and she noticed that Ash and I looked a bit alike so she showed me. Then she held up a picture to compare and looked up a bio of your life." I looked to Ashton, "She found the interview of you talking about your long lost twin and we watched the conference that was held outside the hospital when we were born. So we told her dad about it and he helped me come here to see if that was me, he also lied to my mom and told her I was still staying with them. That's why I should probably get back, although I'm not too fond of plane rides."

"Maybe I could go with you." I look at Ashton in bewilderment.

"But don't you guys have to get back to the tour, I can't just take you away."

"Well I can't let my sister get on a plane by herself." He smirks, and I smile at the sound of sister.

"You do know that I know I was born first right?" He scowls playfully and the other laugh.
