Chapter 12;

I crept down my stairs, and started heading towards my back door. I had to go unnoticed and unseen because I was still technically grounded. I just wanted to see Layne again and tell him the truth. The real truth. He had to know that I didn't love Austin before it was too late. I didn't want Layne to get killed. Austin is too powerful right now and of Layne tries to kill him, he will get killed as well.

I slid open the back door and closed it gently. I started running across my lawn, and tried to climb the fence. Once I made it over the fence, I hid behind the bushes. I saw Layne standing by his back door with his back facing me. I took this chance to get even closer. I started crawling to the side of his house and hid. I peeked over the side of the house, and I didn't see Layne.

I let out a sigh of relief, and slowly walked to his back door. I jiggled the lock to see if it was locked, and surely enough, it wasn't. I quietly entered his house, and I was overcome with the smell of something odd. It smelt like pennies... Like dried up blood. I scrunched up my nose, and began tip toeing to his living room. I didn't make it far before I heard a loud voice start yelling. It didn't sound like Laynes or the butlers... It sounded more feminine and lady like.

I peeked my head around to get a look at what was going on and I was right. There was a girl standing over a small dead boys body. The girl had blood all over her hands and her mouth. She didn't look human.

She had long, wavy black hair that flowed down to her butt, her gray eyes looked like hell just broke loose, her pale skin didn't have an ounce of scratches or bruises on it, her body complexion was remarkable. She had a nice rounded butt, and not too big or too small of boobs. Her curves were like an hour glass, and she looked beautiful in the strapless black dress she wore that didn't go past her butt. Her stiletto heels complimented everything about her body.

In all, she was beautiful.

But why was she here? Was Layne seeing someone else?

"Do you remember me now?" her voice sounded sexy, and womanly. A lot more mature than mine.

"Leave my house. Now," I heard Layne say.

"Don't act like you don't remember me," she started circling Layne, placing his hand on his shoulder. She leaned down close to his ear and whispered, "I'm one of the girls you killed Laney. Or so, you thought you killed," She chuckled, and licked Laynes cheek. Layne wasn't doing anything about this.

The girl continued to walk around his living room, picking up pictures along her way. She would quickly glance at them and then put them back down. She looked around with her piercing gray eyes, and sniffed. She sniffed in my direction, and I hid.

"Ahhh. We have a guest," She purred, and started walking towards my direction. My heart started pounding, and my blood started flowing really fast. I shouldn't have done this. I was going to get killed.

The girl made her way over to where I was, and smiled. She quickly reached over and grabbed my arm in one slick motion. She dragged me out into the living room with hunger burning in her eyes. Laynes eyes darted to me and then back to the girl. His face became worried but he tried not to show it.

"Looks like dinner got delivered this evening," The girl inhaled my scent, and her eyes turned to slits.

Just like Laynes did.

She was a vampire too.

"Labiba, stop," Layne piped up. "She's not for feeding. Let her the fuck go,"

"You know this horrid girl?"

Who is she calling horrid?

"Let. Her. Go. Before I really kill you,"

Labiba started walking around with me in a chokehold, and she seemed to enjoy Layne being this way. She smiled at his words.

"Not so fast, Lucifer. You do realize I can kill her before you kill me," She grinned her perfect white teeth, and I could see her fangs.

I gulped and I started panicking. I didn't wanna die. Not this way. Labiba leaned her mouth to my neck, and started licking where my pulse ran. I shivered at the texture of her tongue. She nibbled at my skin, and I saw Layne enraged. Labiba seemed to enjoy this and she finally but down into my neck.

I could feel the blood being sucked from my body. I began growing weak in her arms and I began to sag down. Labiba stopped feeding, and her teeth dripped with blood. She started laughing lightly.

"Labiba, let her go.... Please.." Layne pleaded with anger.

"Why is this girl so important to you? She's just another stupid human,"

"That was how I felt when I killed you," Layne muttered.

I felt Labiba freeze underneath me, and I could feel the heat radiate off of her as she began to get angry. She sank her teeth in me again, and really started going at it. I heard Layne scream and then everything went black.

-

I woke up with a massive headache. I opened my eyes, and looked around the room. I was laying on the couch in Laynes house, and it was dark out. How long have I been out? I sat up and all the blood came rushing to my head. It hurt so bad. I saw Layne and Labiba sitting on the other side of the room from me, and they were just staring at me.

I put my hand on my head, and let out a grunt as I sat on the couch properly.

"About time you woke up. See? I didn't kill her," Labiba smiled.

Layne gave her an evil look and was over to me in a second. He placed his cool hands on my neck and face. He looked at me with soft eyes and he kissed my hands.

"I'm so glad you're alright," he smirked at me. "But you're in more danger now than ever,"

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"Now that Labiba almost tried to kill you, Austin knows. Austin is pissed off and is coming for you, me, and her. You're not safe, and we need to keep you here so he doesn't come in,"

"What about my family?"

Layne hesitated. "They'll be fine," he turned to Labiba. "You are going to make sure nothing happens to her family," he ordered.

"Who the hell do you think I am? I don't baby sit food,"

"You owe me,"

Labiba grunted and nodded. It was best not to argue with Layne. Layne directed his eyes back to me, and smiled.

"We'll keep you safe, princess. I promise,"
