Chapter 2;
Of course my mom would make us go to school. I didn't want to go. I just wanted to stay here, and find out more about that boy next door. I had to know his name. I wonder if he went to the same school I did. I could only hope. It was pouring down rain outside as I ran for the bus. The kids on it were throwing paper around, yelling, screaming... They must've been freshmen.
I sat down in the back of the bus, and plugged in my headphones on my way to school. Everyone kept staring at me, and giving me dirty looks. I didn't care nor did I mind. They were being pathetic. I could tell I wasn't going to make friends easily here. One of the boys in front of me turned his head towards my direction, and sat backwards on the seat, just so he could look at me. He looked cute. He had light brown scruffy, long hair, and he had brown eyes. His skin was sorta tan, but pale at the same time. His smile was perfect, and he looked fairly tall from what I could tell.
He stared down at me, and smiled. "You're not from around here, are you?" he asked. His voice sounded nice... I glared up at him, and smiled as well.
"I just moved here. I'm new,"
"We don't accept newcomers,"
"That's too bad. I thought maybe we could be friends," I said sarcastically. He frowned, and took my iPod from my hands. I tried to snatch it back, but he held it out of my reach.
"What if you never saw this again, eh newcomer?" He tossed it to one of his buddies, and they kept tossing it back and forth.
"I could always get a new one," I said calmly. He shrugged, and kept throwing it. I didn't care. My mom would get me a better one. He didn't phase me. We reached the school, and everyone got out of the bus in a hurry. I wasn't in any rush. I slowly crept up to my new school, and so far, I got a bad impression of it. As I walked into the building, everyone started to glare at me as I went into the counseling office for my schedule.

When I was in Algebra 2, I felt comfortable. I actually knew what the teacher was talking about because I was already taught this stuff before. I was taking notes, and this girl in front of me kept glaring at me, and it was getting annoying. Once the teacher let us talk, the girl turned around and smiled at me.
"Are you new?" She asked, and flipped her hair back.
"Yeah, I am,"
"My name is Carly, what's yours?"
"Cadence,"
"That's a nice name... Where did you come from?"
"Washington,"
"You came all the way from Washington to this dump?" She chuckled. "I don't see why,"
"My dad got a promotion in his job...."
"Oh. Well, do you wanna sit with my friends and I at lunch?"
I smiled. "Sure," I finished taking my notes and put them in my backpack. Carly grinned at me and flipped her black hair again. She seemed like the preppy type to me... I didn't really like it. I was never fond of being in the popular clique. I always had the friends I had, and dealt with it.
The bell rang and it was lunch time by then. Carly and I walked side by side to the lunchroom, and people kept giving us stares. It was mainly me that they were glaring at because I was walking with Carly... I guess she was one of the 'popular' girls here that everyone knew because boys were whistling as she passed by them, they were trying to talk to her, and she was all dressed up.
We made it to the lunchroom, and we sat down at a huge round table with a bunch of good looking guys and preppy girls. I felt uncomfortable because I was never popular at my old school, but I had friends. Carly smiled at her friends and told me to sit down. One of the boys stared at me with such hatred in his eyes that it was starting to make me feel out of place. The boy looked familiar...
"Where did you pick up this piece of white trash?" he asked, pointing at me. Carly looked towards my way, and shrugged.
"She was in my math class, and she looked lonely," she responded, looking away. That felt like a bullet wound to the heart. I looked down at my hands as the boy laughed.
"You sure pick'em Car,"
"Shut up,"
"Come on baby, don't be like that,"
"I'm not your baby, so shut the hell up." That was the last thing she said to him. It was kinda funny, but then he glared at me again.
"Look, nobody is going to accept you here. Nobody likes newcomers. So why don't you go sit with that loner boy over there, and never bother us again, okay?" he snarled, and pointed to a platinum blonde kid that was sitting by himself.
I wasn't even going to fight with him. He was annoying and I had very low tolerance for people like him. I stood up, grabbed my bag, and headed towards the boy. Once I got closer, the boy became more and more familiar. I sat down in front of him, and he looked up at me with piercing ice green eyes.
It was the boy next door.
His glare looked evil, and he looked kinda different today. His pupils were slits, his face was flushed, and his hair was messier than usual, and his teeth were a lot more sharper than they were the last time I saw him...
"What are you doing here?" his accent was so sexy, but the way he said this was more like a growl.
"Probably for the same reason you're here,"
He huffed. "Obviously you know nothing,"
He was a lot crabbier today than he was yesterday... What did I even do?
"Whatever. Are you going to tell me your name?"
"Why should I?"
"Because I told you mine?"
"That doesn't matter,"
"Why don't you stop being a pest, and we could all get along here,"
He got in my face, and grabbed my wrist. He sniffed it, and began licking it lightly. It made me get shivers. He almost bit into it, but he stopped himself. He inhaled, and looked straight into my eyes.
"Listen here, princess. Nobody tells me what to do, or when to do something. I do what I want, and if I want to be a 'pest', I will. Now why don't you just shut the hell up, and quiet down before I yank your throat out," He threatened, and sat back down in his seat.
I didn't realize people were watching us until I realized the lunchroom was suddenly quiet. They were all gazing at us, and were surprised at the boys reaction. After five minutes, the lunchroom started talking again, the boy started chuckling to himself.
"That's what I thought, princess,"
"You really are something, aren't ya?"
He looked up at me again, and his slit eyes were scary looking. "I'm being serious," he voice was dark, and his sexy accent stuck out.
I jumped out of my seat, and slammed my hand on the table. It didn't scare him, nor did it phase him. I was pissed off because this day was not going well, and he was only making it worse.
"I'm done with you!" I stalked out of the lunchroom, and ran outside. What a worst first day this was.
Authors Note; sorry that this chapter sucked... Let me know what you think the boys name is!(:
