When Maya heard the news, she was so happy, she thought she was going to explode. Her plan had worked! God, it had been so easy!
****FERN. WAS. PREGNANT.****
Maya knew whenever Fern was on her period, because when they used to live together Fern would actually be slightly NICER when she was on it. And the day of the "union", she'd worn a pretty little dress and had welcomed everyone in graciously to her house, though she despised the idea of a damned "union".
So Maya just had to convince her to have sex with Sam that day, because she was probably heavy. And Fern had actually listened to her and done it.
Now, she was actually PREGNANT.
Maya knew Sam wouldn't be able to bear the fact that he was going to be a father in nine months. He wasn't that type of guy. He hated pressure. Plus, he was just 14. So now, he was going to leave Fern, drowning in her own misery, and come running to Maya!
Okay, maybe not RUNNING. Maybe...trudging? Crawling? What the hell, it didn't matter.
Plus, the fact that Fern was going to be in intense pain and gain a bajillion stretch marks didn't hurt either.
So Maya knew that her plan had consequences. She knew she was going to be insanely jealous that Sam's little baby was going to pop out of Fern, of all people. But that didn't matter.
All that mattered was that Fern's life was now over.
