The Halloween Party

A/N: Warning, there is a small scene in this chapter where Cassie is being sexually harassed, so I'll put out a warning before the scene in case it causes any triggers for anyone.

Halloween Day

Alex's POV

As the group and I left our A. P. Lit class, we began to talk about the Halloween party going on tonight. Ashton Smith, the captain of our school's baseball team, was going on host it. I'm used to going to these kind of parties so I knew there was going to be sex, alcohol and drugs going on at the party. However because it is our last year together as a group, we decided that all of us would be going together. I knew the guys and Megan, Lily and Sophia consistently attended these parties, but I was worried about Cassie. Cassie doesn't really like the party scene. She preferred to stay home and read despite our many attempts to get her to come with us. She decided to go to this one though, because she knew this would be one of the last high school parties where all of us were a group. I just hope everything goes well tonight.....

Cassie's POV

I was extremely nervous about going to this party tonight. I haven't been to even one high school party, so I made the excuse that I was just feeling nervous about entering an unfamiliar scene. I was surprised however of my mom's reaction when i asked her if I could go to the party.

Flashback

"Mom, i'm home!", I shouted as I entered my house.

"In the kitchen, sweetie", she replied back to me.

"Hey mom, have I mentioned how nice you look today," I told her with a smile on my face.

"Okay, Cassie what do you want and how much is it going to cost me?", my mom asked as she faced me with her hands on her hip.

"I was wondering if I can go to a party with the gang?", I softly asked her.

"The world's about to end! Cassandra Anna Williams wants to go to a high school party?", she lightly teased me.

"Very funny mom. So, can I go?", I asked her once again.

"Of course, sweetie! I trust you and I know the gang will be there if anything goes wrong. Besides, you're young! Live a little...", my mom told me.

My mom was right. I didn't want to live with regrets and feel as though I didn't do anything fun during my high school years. So, I decided to go to the party.

End of flashback

"Hey, are you okay Cassie?", the girls asked me.

"Yeah, i'm good! So, what are we all dressing up as exactly?", I asked my friends.

"We're going to dress up as superheroes! I don't know exactly what the guys are dressing up as, but we'll find out later," Lily told me.

"I'm going to dress up as Black Widow, Meg is going to be Wonder Woman, Lily's going to be Bat woman and you're going to be Superwoman!", Sophia explained to me.

"Awesome! I love superheroes!!", I replied back to them.

Once we all got dressed, we assessed each others outfits. They all looked amazing in their costumes!

"Guys, i'm not so sure about this skirt and the cape," I said as I took in my outfit.

"You look hot, Cassie! Don't worry about it. You're going to blow Alex away when he sees you", Meg teased.
