Hey That's My Kid ( Sequel To Music In The Hopeless)

Chapter 5- First Day Back in PA

Brelynn's POV

I woke up, I heard nothing and I sat up. I rubbed almost all of the tiredness out of my eyes and looked around the empty room. There was a note on Ricky's side of the bed, I reached over and grabbed it. Brelynn was written neatly written on it.

"Brelynn, took Skyler to school and went to Chris's for a band meeting. Ryan-Ashley is gonna call you at 10 for work, to make sure that your up. See you tonight. -Ricky." I mumbled, I dropped the letter on the bed and fell back on the bed, with a loud groan. My phone started to vibrate and ring, I reached over to the side table. I grabbed my phone and answered it.

"Hello?" I answered, with my groggy morning voice and sat back up in the bed.

"Hey, it's Ryan-Ashley." She said, she sounded awake and alive. Also there were voices in the background so probably at work.

"Hey, I just got up." I said, sighing and folding the letter back up. I placed it back on the bedside table and stood up.

"Great, I could use your help at the store. I can text you the address and train you today. Cool?" She asked and I stretched my arms up.

"Yea, cool. I'll be there in a few." I said and she hung up, I threw my phone on my bed. I walked into the bathroom, I straightened my hair and did simple black make-up. I walked out of the bathroom and into the closet. I put on black leather skinny jeans, a very loose white t-shirt with a skull cut-out in the back and put on black VANS. I grabbed my black purse, I threw my phone, keys, sunglasses and wallet in. I left.

-AT THE STRANGE AND UNUSUAL-

I walked into the store and Ryan-Ashley immediately ran over to me. She hugged me, I don't know why but she did. I mean we were never really that close, but i've worked here before and I still remember all the ways. But Ryan-Ashley just wanted to go over the basics again and we did.

"Brelynn!" Balz came over after an hour and I smiled, with a little wave.

"Hey, how did the meeting go?" I asked, I just had sat down on the stool behind the register and he looked confused, as did Ryan-Ashley.

"What do you mean, what meeting?" He asked, looking at me and I scrunched up my eyebrows, very confused.

"Ricky said that there was a meeting at Chris's house." I said and he shook his head.

"If there was I was not invited." He said, sitting on the couch and I nodded. I grabbed my purse, taking my phone out.

Is ricky there?- Brelynn

No, Chris is still asleep. Why? -Andi

No reason.- Brelynn

I put my phone back into my bag and went back to working. Why would he lie to me, I don't even care.

-COUPLE HOURS LATER-

"See you tomorrow Ryan." I said, walking out the front door and over to my car. I was going to pick up Skyler from school. I drove to the school and waited in the parking lot. She came over, she was wearing black pants and a black Minnie mouse shirt.

"Hey baby, how was school?" I asked, strapping her up in her seat.

"Good. I made a friend. His name is Drake." She said and I nodded. she seemed to make more friends with boys than girls.

"Tonight is the WWE choice awards thingy. Are we going to watch?" Skyler asked as we left the school parking lot.

"Yeah, we can do that." I said. Soon enough we arrived at the house and Ricky's car was in the driveway. "Baby, do you know where Daddy went this morning?" I asked, as I unbuckled her.

"He went to Uncle Chris's." She said I nodded and we walked inside, Ricky was sitting on the couch reading a book.

"Daddy!" Skyler yelled and ran towards him, he put his book on the table. She hugged him tightly and he hugged her back, I walked into the kitchen to get a drink. I got a tea from the fridge and took a long sip.

"Hey bub. How was school?" Ricky asked and I ran my fingers threw my hair, looking at her. I rested both my elbows on the counter and looked at them.

"Okay, I made a friend his name is Drake." She said and Ricky nodded. "Daddy tonight we have to watch the WWE awards!" Skyler said, very very happily and she threw up her arms.

"Oh, okay. Do you have any homework?" He asked and she shook her head.

"Nope, I did all my school work." She said and he nodded. "I'm gonna go put on my Undertaker shirt!" She said and ran upstairs. I chuckled and Ricky stood up, walking towards me. I ran my fingers threw my hair and looked up. Ricky was standing in front of me.

"How was work?" Ricky asked and I nodded.

"It was good. What about you? How was Chris's?" I asked, hoping he wouldn't lie to me and he shrugged.

"It was whatever. Nothing crazy." He lied and I nodded. I turned around and leaned against the counter.

"Mommy, what are we having for dinner?" Skyler asked and I turned around, she was walking over to me.

"Uh, I don't know sweety." I said and she stood in front of me.

"Mommy, are you okay?" She asked and I nodded. I bent down and fixed her shirt.

"I'm fine." I said and she smiled. She walked over to the fridge and opened it. "I'm gonna take a shower." I said, looking at Ricky and he nodded.

"Okay, i'll make something." Ricky said, as I started walking upstairs and I just kept walking upstairs. I went into the bathroom, I started the hot water and stripped down to nothing. I turned to look at my bare back. I got a few more tattoos, especially on my back. I got a Alice In Wonderland back piece and tatted up by the same people who did my unicorn piece 5 years ago. I even drew the Alice piece. I glanced at it and then got into the shower. I sat down and let the water just roll down my skin. After the water started to get cold, I got out and went to the closet. I pulled on black leggings, a grey tank top, a over-sized white skull pattern sweater and socks. I threw my hair up in a bun and walked down stairs. I could hear Skyler and Ricky laughing. I walked down and looked at them. Ricky had made spaghetti and they were watching the WWE awards.

"Mommy, how was your shower?" Skyler asked, she was looking at me with her bright blue eyes and Ricky turned to me. i walked over and sat down next to her.

"It was good. I need it." I said and she nodded, turning back to the TV. I leaned back on the couch, I tucked my knees into my chest and rested my head on my elbow. I closed my eyes.

Ricky's POV

Within minutes of Brelynn being down here, she fell asleep on the couch and Skyler got up. She walked over to the other couch and grabbed the blanket. She brought back over and placed over Brelynn.

"You take care of you mom, huh?" I asked, taking another bite of food.

"Yeah, I know it's hawd on her sometimes. I emeber one time it got weally bad and I had to spend some time with Auntie Andi. Mommy got better and I went back with her. It's been fine since. But I try to help out when I can." Skyler said, sitting back on the couch.

"You're really mature for a five year old." I said and looked at her.

"I know." She said, watching the TV.

-AN HOUR LATER-

I finished cleaning up the kitchen and I walked back over to the couches. Skyler fell asleep on Brelynn and Brelynn was still sound asleep. I turned off the TV, then picked up Skyler and carried her to bed. I tucked her in with her favorite stuffed animal and kissed her goodnight. I went back downstairs to get Brelynn, I carried her upstairs as well. I laid her in bed and tucked her as well. Then I tucked myself in. It was a great first day with them.
