Chapter 32- Date Night pt. 1

Brelynn's POV

I was finishing up with a client and then she walked out. I smiled, then laid against the wall and Ricky walked over to me.

"Hey can I ask you something?" He asked, I looked at him and nodded. We walked into the back, out the back door and I pulled out my pack of cigarettes, lighting up.

"What do you want?" I asked, putting my lighter back in my back pocket.

"Look, I was hoping that we could talk. Over dinner tonight. I talked to Ryan-Ashley and Josh they said that they would take Skyler for the night, if you agreed." He said, then last night I remembered Skyler told Ricky exactly what to do and not to fuck it up.

"Uh, sure. I guess. I'll go back to the house, get ready and pack a bag for Skyler after I get off, so about 6." I said and he nodded. We both stood their in silence smoking our cigarettes and just staying calm.

 I just got to the house and I walked into Skyler's room. I put pajamas, her night time blanket, James the Bear and a pair of clothes for her tomorrow. I brought the bag into my room and went to my closet. I put on black high-waisted skinny jeans, a long sleeve tight black crop top, a white leather jacket and black ankle boots. I fixed my make-up and made sure that my hair stayed straight.

"Mommy, where are you?" I heard Skyler yell and I walked downstairs, with Sky's bags. Skyler ran up to me and hugged me tight. "Hi mommy. I can't wait to see Auntie Ry-Ry and Uncle Joshie." She said smiling at me and I smiled at her.

"And I know that they are excited to see you too hun. I packed your bag and everything you need is in it." I said and she nodded.

"Josh will be here any minute. I'm gonna change really quick. You look amazing Brelynn." Ricky said, smiling at me and I stood up, he was walking upstairs. 

 "Thank you Ricky. I'll see you in a second." I said and he nodded, continuing to walk upstairs. I looked back down at Skyler.

"You and daddy are going on a date. A date. A date. A date!" Skyler said, dancing around me and I chuckled while watching at her. A knock on the door broke the laughter and Skyler ran to the door. I sat down on the arm of the couch, she opened it wide and screamed. "Uncle Joshie!" She yelled and he smiled, picking her up.

"Hey kiddo." He said, smiling and throwing her in the air. She giggled and Josh walked over to me.

"You know you could've just walked in you are family." I said, standing up straight and Josh walked over to me.

"I know, but I knocked anyway." He said and I nodded, shrugging. He put Skyler down and she ran over to the couch, grabbing her bag. "You and Ricky have fun tonight." He said, making the face and I rolled my eyes. 

"Nothing like that is happening tonight." I said and he nodded.

"If not tonight, another night. Trust me, you guys are going to get back together. I'd bet my life on it." He said and I chuckled.

"You do that hun. You do that." I said and the door opened. Both Josh and I looked up, Ricky was walking downstairs.

"Joshie." Ricky said, walking over to us and they did a bro hug. I smiled and Skyler walked back over.

"Okay, I have my bag. I want to see Auntie Ry-Ry." Skyler said, looking at Josh and he chuckled.

"Alright, kid. I guess we are going." Josh said, I smiled and walked over to him, giving him a hug.

"So you guys are going to bring her to the shop right?" I asked looking at Josh and he nodded, walking over to Ricky. They did a hug and ho looked at me. 

"Yeah, we'll be at the shop and then Ricky is coming with you, right?" Josh asked and I nodded. "Alright, kid. Let's go." He said and Skyler ran over to me.

"Love you mommy." She said, kissing my cheek and hugged me tightly.

"Love you too, have fun and make sure you say hi to Auntie Ry-Ry for me okay?" I asked looking at Skyler and she nodded. She walked over to Ricky giving him a hug and kiss on the cheek as well.

"Love you too daddy." She said, Ricky smiled Josh and Skyler walked out of the house.

"So are you going to tell me where we are going or is it a surprise?" I asked, looking at him and he walked over, grabbing both my hands.

"It's a surprise. Come on let's go." Ricky said, I rolled my eyes and he pulled me out the front door. Josh's car was already gone and we walked over to Ricky's car. There was a bouquet of dead roses in my seat, I smiled looking at him and I opened the car door. I picked up the bouquet and looked at them.

"They are beautiful." I said looking at him and he smiled. He hopped in and I followed. "Thank you." I said, kissing him on the cheek, it was instinct and it didn't feel wrong. It felt right. I looked at back at the flowers, letting the hair on my face cover up my blushing cheeks. 

"They reminded me of you." He said, starting up the car and we started driving away.
