Chapter 27- Part of the Family

Brelynn's POV

I pulled Sky into my lap and hugged her tightly. I missed her so much and she smelled like Ricky. Peppermint and cigarettes. Once I realized that my daughter smelled like cigarettes, I passed her over to Alex and got up to go talk to Ricky. 

"Hey Brelynn what's up?" Ricky asked, rolling his eyes and he looked at me. I growled, he realized that I was upset. "What?" He asked, getting all defensive. 

"Why does Skyler smell like you?" I asked, with my eyebrow shooting up and I crossed my arms. He looked at me weird. 

"Why does my daughter smell like me? Let me rephrase that. Why does my daughter that's been with me for two weeks smell like me? Hhhhmmm I wounder why?" Ricky asked, crossing his arms and chuckling at me. 

"She smells like peppermint and cigarettes. Have you been smoking cigarettes around her?" I asked and he shook his head, immediately. 

"No, she sleeps in my bed with me. I smoke and it gets on my clothes. Then I sleep on my bed. She probably got it from hanging around me." Ricky said and I nodded. "Now that we got that cleared up. Why didn't you tell me you were coming to this BBQ?" He asked, crossing my arms and his eyebrow was now raised. 

"Well, I did when you came to get Skyler but you didn't remember." I said, looking at him. I was playing my three year child smart ass act.

"You didn't remind me. I mean shit I don't care, i'd just like a heads up." He said and I shrugged. 

"Well, shit happens. I forgot okay." I said and walked off, going back to Alex. He still had Skyler in his lap and he was talking to Josh. I smiled and sat next to him. 

"Sky want to help me put the cheese on the potatoes?" Ryan-Ashley asked looking at Skyler, they smiled at one another and then raced to the kitchen. Alex slung his arm around me and pulling me into his side. He looked at me, with his stupid grin and I smiled back at him. Then we shared a quick peck on the lips. 

"Awe, that's so cute." Angelo gushed then made a gag noise and everyone laughed. "I'm kidding i'm glade that you are happy." Angelo said and I smiled. 

"Thanks Ang." I said and he nodded, sending me a blow kiss. I pretended to grab it and throw it on the ground. 

"Hey that's not nice." Angelo yelled and I giggled, as everyone else laughed around me. But I leaned over, pretending to scrape it up and putting it on my cheek. 

"Love you Ang." I said and he smiled, then rolled his eyes. 

"Ya ya whatever." He said, turning away and I chuckled, looking at Alex. I smiled at him and leaned into his chest. I grabbed his hand lacing our finger's together. 

Ricky's POV 

I watched Brelynn and her new boyfriend get close on my friend's couch. I sneered at them and rolled my eyes turned back to my cup, taking a sip of my tea. 

"You know you shouldn't stare at what we can't have." Chris said, so only he and I can hear. I turned to look at him and he nodded, approving his advice. 

"Chris, I want to date her and I don't want it to be like last time or the time before that. I'm ready to what it takes." I said and he shrugged, walking into the living room. Sitting on the other side of Brelynn. He turned back, smiling at me and I glared at him. 

"Daddy! Auntie Ryan and I made lunch." I heard Skyler say and I turned looking at her. She walked up to me, she had a big toothy grin on her face. 

"Mmm, is it going to be good?" I asked, picking her up and she nodded. I smiled and she looked over at Brelynn and everyone. "Want to go in here?" I asked, pointing into the living room and she nodded. I put her down and pushed her lightly forward. 

"Come on. Come with me." She said, taking my hand and I smiled. She pulled me along behind her into the living room. Ryan-Ashley came in and sat next to Josh. 

"Glade you decided to be apart of the family." Chris said, looking at me and rested his arm on Brelynn's shoulders. He smiled at me and I raised my eyebrow, he nodded. Making his fake flawless eyebrows dance. 

"Chris if you don't take your arm off of me, i'm going to break it." Brelynn barked and he turned looking at her, in doubt. "Oh that's not a threat it's a promise." She said and everyone watched in awe to see the next move. 

"Ya, you should move your arm mate. When we first meet, I tapped her on the shoulder to ask directions and she twisted my hand behind my back, pinning me to the airport wall." Alex said and everyone laughed. "Ya, you think it's funny. It actually happened." He said and Brelynn nodded.
