Mom was screaming into the house phone trying to arrange the date when the mover's to come. Apparently they were supposed to come on Friday, which was tomorrow, but they had made a mistake and couldn't come till Saturday or Monday. Mom was furious.

I decided I had enough of packing and hearing mom yell at the moving company, I thought It would be a good idea to take a walk. I'm pretty sure mom wouldn't mind.

"Mom! I'm going to talk a walk."

"Where are you going?" She emerged from her bedroom and came into the living room.

"I don't know. I'm just want to get some fresh air," I said pulling my sweater on.

"Okay. Are you almost finished packing?"

I nodded. All I need to pack was my clothes, shoes, and my blankets.

"Don't be to late."

"Okay," I said walking out the door.

Truth was I knew exactly where I was going. I had to go see Carrie then her family. I walked for about ten minutes when a small flower shop came into my view. I went inside to find some flowers for Carrie. Daisies in particular.

"Excuse me," I said to the guy at the counter.

He turned around. "How can I help you?"

"Do you have any daisies here?"

He nodded. He came out from the counter and led me towards the back of the shop.

"How many do you want?"

"Um, six is good. And one rose to."

The guy grabbed the daisies and the rose and rung up the flowers. I paid for them and made my way to the cemetery.

Within five minutes I was at the iron gate. I made my way past it and headed towards the back of the cemetery. Carrie's headstone wasn't that hard to find, after all she was buried underneath the only willow tree in the cemetery, which was located towards the back.

I stopped about a twenty feet away from her headstone. I could see it from here. I was gripping the flowers so hard I though I might end up breaking the stems. I took a deep breath and took slow baby steps. I tried to think about calming things but that didn't help. I was finally in front of her grave. I carefully laid the flowers down onto the grave.

"Hey, Carrie. I brought some flowers for your grave. I never thought I'd have to say that. At least not to you." I knelt onto the ground and ran my fingers across her name where it was engraved into the marble stone. "I miss you so much. I don't understand why you had to go."

Tears started running down my face, and I quickly wiped them away. This was never supposed to happen. Carrie should've still been alive. But she wasn't. Because of me. Again I ran my fingers over her name trying to make myself comprehend that this is where she was now. And I couldn't change it.

"I start school soon. Don't want to start without you. But I have to. Mom's getting married. I'm gonna have a step brother and sister. Can you believe it? My mom is getting married. Steve isn't a bad guy I just... I don't know."

"You're mom's getting married?"

I shot up to my feet and turned around to see Luke.

I narrowed my eyes at him. "What are you doing here?"

A confused look plastered his face. "Same reason your here. I mean why else would I be here?"

I snorted. "What? You didn't come to her funeral so you thought you could make it up by visiting her?"
