We reached the cabin when the sun was close to setting. Streaks of purple, blue, and orange were blended into the clear sky. Ah, the beauty of nature. The trail came to an end where a stone and sandy path was directly in front of us. There at the end of the path I knew was our destination.

Chocolate brown and sap green. Those are the colors that strike me the most when taking in the sight of Jon's family cabin. It's an absolutely gorgeous place with that warm glow to it. I inhaled a deep breath, letting the overwhelmingly wonderful scent of nature fill my lungs. Taking a step at a time we all climbed to the porch where we waited for Jeff to open the doors. Melina kept shooting disapproving looks at everything while I admired the detailed carvings on the door. Andrea informed us that it was just placed this weekend.

When we walked through the wooden door of the cozy three bedroom wooden cabin, it felt like coming home after ages of being away. Andrea and Jeff walked to their bedroom to do what I assumed was unpack. Shouting a, "There's food in the red bag." They disappeared through the bedroom door.

Jon, Anna, Melina and I settled down on the brown fuzzy sofas in the small living room, throwing our things to some remote corner. Jon reached for the remote control and turned the outdated box TV on to a channel playing music videos.

"Melanie." Anna asked after a song finished playing, "Would you prefer sharing a room with your sister or Jonathan?"

"Jon." I answered automatically, without even thinking the question over. I'd pick Jonny-boy over Melina any day.

Soon enough a sly grin crept on Anna's face. "Gotcha." Anna smirked, tapping her finger against her chin.

"Come on, Melina." Anna ushered a confused Melina out of her seat. "Let's leave these two love birds alone. I can give you a tour." she grabbed a protesting Melina's hand and walked off to the direction of the front door. I glared over at Jon who was blushing like an eighth grade girl getting asked out for the first time. The blush splaying on my cheeks was probably no different, though. I smiled at him when his lovely eyes met mine.

"What?" He looked directly at my eyes with an unknown emotion, all the while smiling. I got up from the sofa to lean over him. I made sure to leave enough space between us, even though I wanted to be closer.

"Let's go to bed, love bird." I tried to say seductively in his ear, but it epically failed on my behalf. We both giggled at my stupidity, then Jon grabbed me up into his arms, and carried me bridal style. He took me to the last room on the left and gently laid me down on the bouncy mattress. He chose to lie next to me, his heart beating just as frantically as mine surely was.

"Oh, hold on I have to change my outfit." I excused myself pathetically. I mean, the boy is basically asking me to jump his bones then and there!

Getting up, I dashed out the room and went to the living room in order to pick up mine and Jon's things from the living room floor. I unzipped my duffel and picked out a sky blue tank top with white cloud prints and one of the comfiest black shorts I own. I walked to the bathroom across the hall to change. By the time I had gotten back to the room, Jon had changed into his black and red plaid pajamas pants. He was just laying there on the queen sized bed in all his topless glory.

Damn.

I never knew he had a six pack. Okay, maybe I did know, but I've done all in my power not to look. 'Don't look, don't look!' I chanted to myself, but I just couldn't help it. Curse the temptation. The sweet and dangerous temptation. Thankfully, I don't think Jon noticed my lustful stare directed at his chiseled body.

At least I hope he didn't.

Jonathan's Point of View:

While Lani was changing I got my clothes from the dresser in a drawer I always left clothing in. I decided to change into random pajama bottoms and no top. Going to sleep fully clothed is not very comfortable in my opinion, but I don't think Melanie would appreciate me walking around in just boxers, so to respect her I wore one piece of appropriate clothing. I laid back in the bed with my arms behind my head, wrinkling up the pale yellow comforter below me.

I was gazing up at the slanted ceiling when the door to our room burst open. I propped myself up on my elbows to catch a glimpse of who came in. Of course it was Lani. She looked so cute in her tank top and black shorts. She also had on no make-up, making those beautiful freckles that dot her face visible.

Her stare trailed to my abs, and her big brown eyes widened slightly. She kept staring at me, inflating my ego tremendously might I add. It was cute how she thought I hadn't noticed and she tried to cover it up by averting her gaze to the wall behind me.

She cautiously walked over to me until I couldn't take her slow pace anymore and grabbed her arm to clutch her against me. We stumbled a bit, and we fell onto the bed as a result. I was right next to her, her head tucked into the crook of my arms while our arms snaked around each other. That is where she belongs; next to me. I just wish she knew that.

She moved her head so that it was on my bare chest. Her breathing was nice and even. Her serenity relaxed me so much that I was beginning to doze off. I thought about a few things that kept me from falling into the darkness.

I should tell her how I feel for her. She consumed my every thought, my every flashback, even my every question. I'm afraid that one day she won't be there, or she'll figure out my feelings and be repulsed by the thought. Maybe I'm not good enough for her after all.

My thoughts were soon interrupted by a giggle that was sweet music to my ears, coming from the beautiful angel that was on my chest.

"What is it?" I inquired, wondering what on earth was so hilarious to produce such a smile from her.

"I heard your stomach gargle." She laughed, pointing at my stomach. I laughed along with her. She could be so childish at times, but I guess that's one of the many reasons why I love her.

She lifted her face up from my chest to face me. "Night, Jonny." She whispered sweetly, making pleasant shivers run down my spine. Is this girl trying to throw me off on the boat to insanity?!

"Good night, my beautiful angel." I stretched out my hand to turn off the lamp on the bedside table. When the darkness engulfed the room I closed my eyes, preparing for sleep. She put her head back on my chest a few minutes later.

Unfortunately, the sleep left as soon as it had come with that small little motion of her hand. One hundred and six sheep later still no luck in falling asleep. Then, all of a sudden I felt Lani move.

I peeked through my eyelashes and saw her sit up. She looked in my direction--which I feigned sleep for--and after staying immobile for a long torturous minute she began to move again. I saw her reach behind her and unclasp her bra. She skillfully took off the lacy purple bra adorning her beautiful body and tossed her bra on the floor somewhere.

Oh God, help me now.

I'm going crazy, she's so perfect.

I need help before I truly do lose that ounce of sanity I have left. She lay back on her side, her back to me. I took the chance to hug her against me, and sigh in contentment at the way she so perfectly fit right where she was. Words can't even begin to describe how badly I want this girl in my arms right now to be mine. She's so close, yet so far out of reach.
