"Hey, is this what you wanted?" I ask Fitz holding up a small black bag.
He had asked for it an hour ago, but as I didn't even know what it is, I had some difficulties finding it.
It was also on a high shelf.
"Also, what is this?" I ask voicing my thoughts, as I lean into his bunk.
Simmons, who is sitting on the bed next to him, eyes the bag as Fitz hastily grabs it.
"Oh, Fitz." Simmons cries. "A full-sized mag pouch?"
Fitz looks distraught.
"Just one of the many tactical decisions I've had to make already."
Uh hu... sure...
"And Ward said we needed it." He mumbles.
I smirk.
" Stop taking orders from Ward! Don't let him get in your head. Defy his commands." I say in mock authority. " Take what you want! And leave what you want."
I start to hum the National Anthem, putting my hand over my heart.
"You do realize I'm Irish?" Fitz asks sarcastically.
Ooooh, so he can be sassy.
Simmons just rolls her eyes and gives a light chuckle. I can't read Fitz past his utterly worried expression.
I start to walk away.
"Is she OK?" Fitz asks in a hushed tone. "Skye isn't normally this... Animated."
Damn straight.
"I think she's worried about you. When she stresses... It comes out... In humour. And defiance." Simmons replies.
I gag.
I'm not worried! I'm scared as hell for your life!!
I sigh and walk away.

Maybe it's the mission, or my little moment with Ward a few nights ago, or the coffee, or visiting the hub... But this feels wrong.
Maybe Ward is right. Phil's got me used to the plane.
We're all gathered in the meeting room.
"You need to disable the overkill device by 0600 tomorrow in order to prevent the separatist attack." Coulson tells Ward. ''Once you signal Shield, the extraction team will get you both out."
Ward nods, straightening his pack.
Fitz comes puttering in all geared up. Coulson leans foward, and says so quietly, I might be hearing things - "Take care of him."
''More moving, less talking, Agent Ward." Fitz says with pride. "Time's not on our side."
And then they're gone.
I turn to Phil.
"Does this feel okay to you?" I question. "Shouldn't we be going with him?"
Phil gives me one if his smiles.
"The people who put these ops together are the best of the best. The know what they're doing."
Or do they?

"Be careful." I warn Simmons eyeing the gun she's examining. "Can you imagine what Fitz would do if the night-night gun was broken when he came back?"
