"Talk." Coulson spits, keeping his ground as the plane jerks to the side. "Tell us where you rerouted the plane."

"I didn't set this new course. I swear!" May replies, panicked, hurt that we know the truth... That she's the Clairvoyant.

A tear pricks me eye as I think about her betrayal.

She ordered me to get shot.

My finger presses hard against the trigger, but still I don't pull it.

"Don't lie to me!" Coulson yells glaring at her.

May looks so desperate for us to believe her... She looks liked me when I've been accused of something horrible.

Key word; accused... Not CAUGHT.

I WATCH as my finger slides off the trigger and safely returns to the handle.

"Maybe she's telling the truth." I mumble loud enough for them to hear.

May nods.

"I SWEAR, I am!"

"Yeah, well, the plane just turned around, for god's sake! How is this happening, then?" Fitz asks loudly still behind the glass lab doors.

For once I wish Simmons was here.

She would find a way to settle this without bloodshed.

She would suggest tea and biscuits. Then we would all sit down and discuss things, like civilized people, until someone confessed.

Or better yet she would find out who is ACTUALLY behind the plane moving without any cookies.

But she isn't here. I remind myself. So figure what's happening out yourself, SKYE.

"H.Q. can override automated control of the avionics, take us anywhere they want." May says between gritted teeth.

I gasp.

Would Shield really take over the plane without saying ANYTHING?

"Let me check the instrument panel, and I'll be able-

"No way!" Fitz practically screams. "You're not going anywhere till you explain what-

"It's not me!" May cries out.

I bite my lip, keeping my thoughts to myself.

"Why did you have an encrypted hard line?" Phil roars.

She looks at me with wide eyes.

"And try to shoot me when we found it?" Fitz snarls.

"Let's take a breath, huh?" I suggest, reading May's... FEAR.

May. Malinda May. FEARLESS Agent May, afraid of what might happen.

Quite frankly I don't blame her.

"Let's not!" Coulson snaps at me harshly.

I flinch, and stay silent.

Hesitantly May speaks up.

"It was a dedicated channel... To Director Fury." She starts.

We wait for her to finish.

"That's the truth." She snaps as we just stare at her.

"Director Fury?" Coulson asks, "I haven't been able to get him on the line for weeks. You were reporting to him?"

"That's all I can tell you."
